The Berlin office leasing market did not even come close to tapping its full potential in 2018 due to the lack of available space. This trend is set to continue in the coming year as well. With demand still high, we expect takeup to again reach levels of up to 800,000 sqm in 2019.
The previous year’s strong momentum continued on Berlin’s investment market in 2018, significantly exceeding the anticipated aboveaverage results of €6bn by around €950m. The German capital continued to be immensely popular among both German and foreign investors in 2018.
