Acting on behalf of private clients, the Hotels Agency division of real estate services consultancy Colliers International has negotiated the sale of the freehold of East Ayton Lodge, a 27-bedroom hotel in East Ayton, North Yorkshire for an undisclosed sum.
Situated on the edge of the North York Moors at the head of the beautiful Forge Valley near Scarborough, East Ayton Lodge boasts a bar and dining rooms, private function room and secluded gardens.
Peter Bean, a director in the Hotels division at Colliers International, commented: “Based between the North York Moors and the coast, East Ayton Lodge is a perfect leisure and commercial base”
He added: “The area has a lot to offer with superb walks on the North York Moors, the steam railway at Pickering and gorgeous villages and pubs to visit, as well as the coastal resorts of Scarborough and Whitby where visitors can enjoy outdoor activities like surfing, sailing, golf and fishing.
“Outgoing owners, Julian and Simone Kidger, who have owned the hotel since 2004 have handed over to new owners, Robert and Sarah Stoff, and it promises to be a smooth transition as the hotel has been run for Mr and Mrs Kidger by management and staff for many years.”
