Greg is a retail property and development specialist with nearly 30 years’ experience, who advises clients across the UK on all aspects of retail agency, development and investment. His expertise includes master planning, scheme design, development appraisals, compulsory purchase, leasing, development agreements and the sale and funding of projects. Tom is part of the Retail Development team providing advice to Sainsbury’s in their large foodstore expansion drive across the north of England. This remit includes new and replacement stores and the extension of existing space by way of land acquisition and development consultancy advice. Tom has played a key role in the development of new foodstores in Morecambe, Newcastle upon Tyne and York amongst others.
The Retail Development team are currently providing advice to Homes and Communities Agency on the Barnsley Markets project which encompasses the redevelopment of the majority of the heart of the town to provide a new retail and leisure destination together with residential accommodation. Tom has also worked as part of the team on the development of shopping centres in Darlington, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Harrogate and The Point in Malta.
He has played an active role in the provision of advice and the undertaking of lettings on behalf of shopping centre owners at Cross Gates in Leeds, Hillsborough in Sheffield, Birchwood in Warrington and the Grange and Pyramids Shopping Centres in Birkenhead.
Richard graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Urban Land Economics in 1993 and joined Hill Woolhouse, Leeds (now BNP Paribas) concentrating on high street and out of town retail agency and development.
