Tom is part of the Retail Development team providing advice to Sainsbury’s in their large foodstore expansion drive across the north of England. This remit includes new and replacement stores and the extension of existing space by way of land acquisition and development consultancy advice. Tom has played a key role in the development of new foodstores in Morecambe, Newcastle upon Tyne and York amongst others.
The Retail Development team are currently providing advice to Homes and Communities Agency on the Barnsley Markets project which encompasses the redevelopment of the majority of the heart of the town to provide a new retail and leisure destination together with residential accommodation. Tom has also worked as part of the team on the development of shopping centres in Darlington, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Harrogate and The Point in Malta.
