Russell is a Chartered Surveyor responsible for running the Valuation and Advisory Services Department comprising over 50 surveyors and support staff engaged in the valuation of commercial and residential properties throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and the USA.
Russell started his career with Edward Erdman & Co in 1978 where he initially specialised in rent reviews and lease renewals on shopping centres, together with other related professional matters. In 1988 he became a Director within the Valuation Department of Colliers Erdman Lewis with specific responsibility for valuing investment properties and shopping centres. In 1995, he became Head of Valuation within Colliers Erdman Lewis. In 2009 he joined the Colliers International Global Valuation and Advisory Services Group, representing the UK and EMEA region.
Russell often acts as an Expert Witness and recently represented Blackstone with regard to the claim for damages following the destruction of a 450,000 sq ft distribution depot by the Buncefield oil terminal explosion.
He remains actively involved in day to day valuation work and his clients include Lasalle Investment Management, Grosvenor, Development Securities, the Co-operative Group, HSBC, RBS, Lloyds and Barclays.
Martyn is the Head of Valuations for the City Office, covering City Core, Midtown, Docklands, Southbank, Shoreditch, Clerkenwell and Aldgate markets.
Martyn provides valuation advice for a variety of purposes including Secured lending, valuations for Accounts and Financial Statements, acquisition and disposal.
He has over 15 years valuation experience and has a detailed knowledge and understanding of the central London markets.
Martyn joined Colliers in February 2018 from CBRE, where he spent the last 8 years within the Central London Valuation & Advisory team. Whilst at CBRE he advised on some of the best buildings within the City to include 30 St Mary Axe, EC3; 20 Fenchurch Street, EC3; 10 Upper Bank Street, E14 and 1 & 5 Bank Street, E14.
Since joining Colliers the City Valuation & Advisory Team has valued a high proportion of transactions amounting to circa £2.4bn during 2018.
Richard Barrett has worked in property since 1983 and joined the company in 1987, becoming a director in 1990. He specialises in the valuation sector with specific responsibility for investment valuations and covers the UK and Europe including Germany, the Netherlands and France. Richard values for a variety of lending institutions and also provides regular valuations for a number of property funds.
Richard also sits as an APC assessor for the RICS.
Lucinda Lee-Bapty joined Colliers as a Director in January 2014. She previously worked for King Sturge and JLL (after the merge in 2011), having started as a graduate surveyor in 2003. She has been involved in valuing property throughout the United Kingdom for all major banks and building societies as well as private equity firms, re-structuring professionals, property companies and institutions. Having considerable experience in every commercial sector, particularly office and retail property with an emphasis on large Central London assets, portfolios and shopping centres.
In the last 3 years she has gained extensive experience in providing strategic property advice, and been engaged in reviewing a number of non performing portfolio loans with a view to assessing the options available to lenders under their existing credit agreements.
James joined Colliers in 2006 and is a Director and Joint Head of Valuation in the Birmingham Office. He began his career with Chesterton PLC in Birmingham before moving to D&P Holt Limited in Coventry.
Simon has 19 years experience in Valuation, Professional Services and Agency in the property Industry. He is Joint Head of the Birmingham Valuation Department. Since joining Colliers International in 2002 Simon has specialised in commercial and residential valuation and development consultancy work. Simon has a passionate commitment in providing clients with exceptional service.
He is involved in serving major private and public sector clients including investors, developers, banks and corporate occupiers and undertakes the valuation of a wide variety of UK based property. In particular Simon provides advice for loan security and balance sheet purposes.
Abby has a BSc (Hons) in Valuation & Estate Management from the University of the West of England, and has been a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors for 11 years. Abby began her career with Weatherall Green & Smith in Bristol, and then spent nine years with Donaldsons / DTZ, prior to joining Colliers International in July 2011.
I qualified (MRICS) in 1993 and have specialised in the valuation of commercial property for the past 15 years. I am based in Leeds in the north of England and oversee Colliers valuations teams in the UK regional offices. I have a close working relationship with my clients who are a broad range of lenders and property funds.
William has been a qualified member of the RICS for nine years. William began his career with King Sturge in Leeds before moving to DTZ as valuer in Manchester in 2003.
William joined Colliers in 2007 and is a Director and Head of Valuation in the Manchester Office.
Howard is a Director within the Scottish Valuation team of Colliers, based in Edinburgh, and deals with valuation work for many different types of mainstream, alternative commercial and residential properties from both an investment and development perspective. Howard's experience principally relates to valuation, including co-ordination of a number of major UK portfolio valuations and a variety of valuations for finance or security purposes as well as the provision of regular monthly and quarterly valuations for a number of UK funds, institutions and property companies. Howard has specialised in valuation since 1990, concentrating on the corporate, banking, property company and high net worth individual sectors of the debt driven property market, but also has experience in lease negotiations, dispute resolution and other professional work including acting as an Expert Witness for clients in a number of cases at both the Court of Session and the Sheriff Court in Edinburgh.
Tim heads up the Valuation & Advisory Services team and brings to the firm 16 years’ experience in the areas of valuation and investment agency.
Given his background, he has particular expertise in the areas on investment valuation including high street retail, retail warehousing, shopping centres, supermarkets, offices and leisure properties. Other areas of expertise include residential development appraisals, nursing homes, industrial and rural properties.
Tim also has considerable experience in advising clients on loan book acquisitions and disposals.
Aside from valuation work, he advises a number of local and institutional clients on investment disposals and acquisitions.
