Besides the anomalous peak reached in 2015 due to the contribution of two transactions at CityLife for a total of approximately 90,000 sqm, the steady growth trend in office take-up that began in 2012 continues.
The number of transactions are up, driving down the average area transacted even more, amounting to less than 1,400 sqm (down 11% compared to 2017).
In terms of sub-markets, take-up is concentrated in the Periphery, with over 32% of the total volume, followed by the Semi Central and by the CBD Duomo (respectively 22% and 18%). With take-up more or less constant over the last four years (at approximately 40,000 sqm), the Hinterland is confirmed at the tail end, highlighting interest by companies in remaining within the city.
