Milan’s office market recorded a good start of the year, with 117,000 sqm of transactions. These include the pre-let one by Accenture for approximately 30,000 sqm, in a building to be constructed in the Milanofiori Nord business park. This transaction falls within the build-to-suit category, preferred amongst developers but not very widespread in the Milanese market, where works usually start on a speculative basis.
The Hinterland recorded another major transaction, amounting to 6,300 sqm, in the office complex at San Donato, with the presence of major companies operating in the oil sector. Thanks to these two transactions, this sub-market of Milan has proven to be the zone with greatest activity. In reality, buildings that are well-connected via public transport make the Hinterland an interesting area for companies seeking large, modern buildings with good rent levels.
