Maud van Vlerken
November 2013, Maud started as Junior Valuer at Colliers International Eindhoven, after finishing a MSc. in Urban Geography and a BBA in Real Estate. In January 2016, Maud joined Research & Consultancy at Colliers International Amsterdam.
I am responsible for research consultancy within the Dutch Industrial & Logistics team (since 2017) and the Dutch Healthcare team (since 2018).
I am member of the Colliers Young Sounding Board. This internal advisory body for talents up to 35 years advises the board in the company strategy.
I joined Colliers International in October 2018, after completing my MSc in International Management. During my studies I did several exchanges in multiple countries in Europe and Asia, which broadened my international mindset and knowledge about cultural consumer differences. As Junior Research Consultant I am focusing mostly on the Residential and Retail markets.
I started as a research consultant at Colliers in 2019. The research team is focused on the internal support of the various business lines in order to let them function as well as possible. In addition, we focus on external publications. With the pulbications we try to increase our brand awareness in the Netherlands and to be the expert on the future of real estate.
Before Colliers I worked at The Class of 2020, the leading thinktank on student living in Europe, where I headed the research department. Before that, I worked as a researcher at Savills, and before that at the real estate department of the Radboud University as a policy advisor.
As part of the last course at the Hotelschool The Hague, I executed and finished an internship at Colliers International in the Hotel department in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. During this six month internship period, I supported the team during projects ranging from valuations, feasibilities, hotel sale transactions, operator search and the selection and contract negotiations. Besides my supportive role within the team, I was asked to investigate the impact Airbnb in the European hotel market.
After my internship, I finalized and defended my thesis on the impact of regulations on Airbnb in the top European hotel markets. After successfully defending my thesis and obtaining a specific grade, I was offered the job as Junior Hotel Consultant. Of course, I could not reject this offer. Two months after my graduation on the 1st of June 2018, I started my professional career at Colliers International.
