Joost was the founder in 2002 of MD Hotel Investments, a succesfull niche hotel corporate finance advisory based in Amsterdam and the co-founder of European Hotel Capital, a private equity international hotel fund. Since June 2013 Joost joined Colliers in Amsterdam as Director Hotels and specialised in hotel developement advisory, operator search and hotel financing.
Marieke gained experience in the hotel industry while working for Marriott International for several years following her study of International Hospitality Management. With Marriott, she worked in Sales & Marketing and Event Operations, gaining much insight into both the strategic and operational processes in the hotel industry. Marieke then completed an MSc in Business Administration at the VU University in Amsterdam and started with Colliers in 2015 as a trainee for the Hotels division. She now works with Colliers as Consultant and has worked on many projects in the Benelux, varying from feasibility studies and development advisory to brokerage.

After completing my Bachelor in Business Administration at the Hotel Management School in Maastricht in 2010 I have lived and worked in London for a year. At the time I was responsible for the (pre-)opening of a new catering facility for the Emirares airline. After a year, in 2011 I decided to get back to the university to complete my master studies Finance and Investments at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In 2013 I graduated as a MSc in Finance and Investments and directly started my career as a M&A consultant at Marktlink Mergers and Acquisitions. At this firm I have worked for 3 years and I've been involved in many transactions most of them in he staffing industry and machine factory industry. In june 2016 I joined the Colliers EMEA hotel team as a Manager Hotel Investments. The last couple of years I was involved in a great number of hotel transactions and consultancy assignments.
As part of the last course at the Hotelschool The Hague, I executed and finished an internship at Colliers International in the Hotel department in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. During this six month internship period, I supported the team during projects ranging from valuations, feasibilities, hotel sale transactions, operator search and the selection and contract negotiations. Besides my supportive role within the team, I was asked to investigate the impact Airbnb in the European hotel market.
After my internship, I finalized and defended my thesis on the impact of regulations on Airbnb in the top European hotel markets. After successfully defending my thesis and obtaining a specific grade, I was offered the job as Junior Hotel Consultant. Of course, I could not reject this offer. Two months after my graduation on the 1st of June 2018, I started my professional career at Colliers International.

Lenneke finished her education CMV in 2007, than started her career at Colliers International (former Boer Hartog Hooft) as assistent Inverstments.
In 2009 she became coördinator Investments. As coördinator she is active in various commercial buying and selling, troughout all of The Netherlands.
She is coördinator with various buying and selling of residential complexes as well.
As coördinator Lenneke takes care of everything that needs to be done during buying and selling. She guides the process of a thorough due diligence.
Senior Consultant Hotels
After working in the real estate industry on the investment side for 4 years, I started with Colliers in November 2018. I am a senior consultant on the Hotel team. I advise real estate developers and investors in lease transactions and hotel sales and purchases. The projects I work on vary between trading hotels, hotel developments and transformation projects. Besides selecting the right candidates and coordinating the transaction, I also perform feasibility studies. By analyzing the local hotel market and project specifications, I determine which hotel concepts best suit the project. The feasibility is concluded with a ‘brokers opinion of value’ which is always based on a profit-and-loss forecast for the future hotel.
After obtaining my engineering degree from the Technological University in Delft, I started my career at CBRE Global Investors as a management trainee. I later joined the EMEA separate accounts team which was responsible for the management of a EUR 2 billion pan European portfolio. After two years with CBRE GI, I transferred to Orange Capital Partners to build a retail fund for the investor Goldman Sachs. After the successful acquisition of several retail portfolios throughout the Netherlands, I became a portfolio manager being responsible for a EUR 300 million residential portfolio for investor GIC.

Jules is Director Transactions at Colliers International Hotels based in the Amsterdam office. He leads the team of professionals responsible for hotel investment advisory services in the Benelux and cross-border in the EMEA region.
Before rejoining Colliers in september 2018, Jules succesully founded and managed Eminent Real Estate (a boutique real estate family office) from October 2013 untill September 2018. Before founding Eminent Real Estate Jules was Director of Capital Markets at Colliers International managing the Dutch investment services team out of the Amsterdam HQ. Previously he was the Managing Partner of the Eindhoven office.
Before joining RSP/Van Boxtel & Partners Makelaars / Colliers International in 2003, he worked as a senior real estate agent/valuer at Clercx Liebau Bedrijfshuisvesting and Van Boxtel & Partners Makelaars, which came after the start of his career in 1995 as a junior real estate agent at Van Engelen Bedrijfsmakelaars in Eindhoven.

From 2006 to 2016 I worked for the HEINEKEN Brewery throughout the Netherlands as Property and Asset Manager. In this role I was responsible for the leased and owned real estate of HEINEKEN. Main activities were a.o.; tenant and landlord representation, stakeholder management, negotiating lease and sale contracts, strategic acquisition of new properties (to lease or buy), strategic disposition of leased/ owned properties, managing lease and sale process and negotiating exit lease deals.
From 2016 to 2019 I worked for Starbucks Coffee Company as Business Development Manager Channel Licensing for the EMEA region. In this role I was a.o. responsible for development of Starbucks stores in the Travel (e.g. airports, roadsides and train stations) and Outlet shopping Centre Channel in cooperation with existing/ new licensees. Other activities we’re a.o.; onboarding new licensees, development of new markets for the Travel and Outlet Shopping Channel in EMEA, negotiating new Master Licensing agreements, market mapping, stores opening as planned and meeting sales estimations.
Since October 1st 2019 I joined Colliers International as Associate Director F&B. In this role I will be part of the management team who are responsible for setting up and develop the F&B department of Colliers International. My specialties lies a.o.; understanding of the F&B and Real Estate business as a whole, understanding of F&B entrepreneurs/ brands and what information they need to decide how to grow their business and where, understanding of level playing field on behalf of the entrepreneur/ brand AND landlord/ developer, how to represent a F&B entrepreneur/ brand and their needs (e.g. how should the ideal location look like and where it should be located), how to represent the landlord/ developer and share best practise (how to build/ brand a shopping centre/ street and use F&B as a tool to elevate the experience).
Hanneke finised her International Hospitality Management education with a specialization in Real Estate. After a ten-month internship in hospitality brokerage and valuations she gained experience in the hotel industry. She worked for four years as the Assistant General Manager for a 5-star property. In January 2018, Hanneke started with Colliers as a Hotel Valuer. After two years working for the Valuations department, she started working for the Hotel Devision of Colliers as a Consultant.
