Colliers increases its focus on retail and trade

Colliers International strengthens its focus on retail and brings in two new trade experts, Charlotte Christensen and Stian Kjellhov.

Charlotte Christensen is a graduate in economics and has solid experience with lettings and commercial development. Charlotte previously had a position as Deputy leasing Director at Steen & Strøm/Klepierre and before that she was Head of Lettings and concept developer for KLP's shopping centers in the center of Oslo. Charlotte steps in as Director of our lettings department with a special focus on leasing commercial properties and will also be responsible for office and logistics.

Charlotte elaborates: “Colliers International is one of Norway's leading full-scale service providers in commercial real estate and real estate investments, and I look forward to being part of their continued investment in leasing. Rapid technological development, new demands from tenants with regard to service and flexible and alternative solutions, as well as a strong focus on the environment and sustainability, require owners and landlords to think outside of the box. The rapid changes in retail make it particularly challenging for owners of commercial real estate and shopping centers, a segment that Colliers International has long experience with both in financial and technical management. Together with Colliers’ professional and ambitious lettings team, I look forward to finding optimal and profitable solutions for even more property and shopping center owners and helping to further strengthen Collier's position as a preferred partner and advisor in commercial property lettings and development."

Stian has previously worked with shopping center management and development of retail venues. In addition to shopping center management, he has developed and established various retail concepts, both as an entrepreneur in the food and beverage industry and as a development manager in the pharmacy industry. At Colliers, he will focus on the development of retail centers and optimization of operations for landlords in the position as Head of Management Shopping Centers.

“Retail is in a period of change, with great opportunities for landlords. As one of Norway's leading consultancy and property management firms, Colliers is now increasing its focus on lettings, retail and shopping center management, and I am very much looking forward to contributing to this development. With management services in the forefront of the firm’s development and an international contact network, the entire Colliers team is working on optimizing and developing operations for landlords. In short, we will continue strengthening our efforts to make clients’ day-to-day operations easier and more profitable”, says Stian.

“At Colliers International we have always had a strong focus on commercial retail property. We have a strong team in supply chain consulting, where we have specialists in both trade, food & beverage, as well as fashion. In addition to this, we have specialists in our lettings department who work with leasing of retail properties, focusing on shopping centers, high street and big box”, says Thor Bjørdal, CEO and Partner of Colliers International.
