- For Sale
Serendipity Vineyard is being subdivided and on offer is 12.9 hectares (subject to survey). The vineyard itself has 7.4 hectares of planted vines in current production. Central Otago is world-renowned for its great Pinot Noir and Serendipity has some of the best clones available. Currently approximately 6.4 hectares are planted in Pinot Noir with one hectare being planted in Riesling.
Serendipity is situated amongst numerous cherry orchards and is the only vineyard of notable size on Ripponvale Road which teams with tourists in the summer months. The vineyard is on its own sugarloaf hill, enjoying 360 degree panoramic views of the Cromwell basin. It is 280 metres above sea level and 45 degrees south.
The vineyard has a north-west facing aspect with its own micro-climate. It takes advantage of the suntrap and topography of the “hill top”, with the rows being orientated 304 degrees to capture afternoon sun and minimize the effects of the prevailing wind.
There is also a substantial 292sqm shed for plant and equipment plus being fully self-contained ensures that bathroom and kitchen facilities are available for staff. This barn styled shed has been also used for events in the past and therefore offers a range of opportunities for the astute investor.
For genuine sale, the owners of Serendipity Vineyard are keen to see somebody new enjoy this vineyard to the degree that they have and grasp the 'grape' opportunity it represents.
