Blue has over 35 years valuation experience encompassing rural and resource interests, specialised agriculture assets, public sector property (especially forest interests), expert evidence and management. His prior work in senior roles with both Valuation New Zealand and Quotable Value has given him broad property knowledge – with a particular emphasis in the forestry sector.
His client work for Crighton Anderson has traversed a range of property types and issues including; forestry land valuations (lessor and lessee interests), Emission Trading Scheme issues, specialised assets, agribusiness, lifestyle subdivisions, valuations for financing, tax compliance, trust formation, matrimonial disputes, Maori land issues, aesthetic land and compensation. In addition he has provided expert evidence and acted as an arbitrator in a number of judicial contexts.
Blue’s work previously encompassed managing the rating revaluation and roll maintenance programmes for six local authorities in the South Island, giving an in-depth understanding of rating issues and the valuation of exotic forests and national parks, and acting as Principal Consultant (Rural and Forestry) for Quotable Value. Blue’s more recent large-scale engagements have included the valuation of forest assets in Otago, Nelson, Marlborough, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Wairarapa and Northland for financial and Treaty of Waitangi settlement purposes, as well as Crown Forestry License rent reviews. .
Blue’s personal involvement in agribusiness extends to ownership of a West Coast pine plantation and membership of the Farm Forestry Association. As past President of the Property Institute of New Zealand and former President of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers, Blue is highly regarded by both his clients and peers in the profession. He is based in our Nelson office and plays a key role in our agricultural and forestry sector practices and in our dairy pastoral and horticulture valuation teams..

Christchurch (Rural Valuation)
Tim’s specialist background of management accountancy, valuation and finance enables him to apply his unique skill set to a wide variety of valuation projects of complexity and scope. He has worked extensively on business and equity valuation, rural valuation, specialised asset valuation and other property interests and compensation throughout his valuation career that has spanned almost 30 years.
His particular expertise is often called upon for the provision of expert evidence in private arbitration's, the Land Valuation Tribunal, the Environment Court, Board of Inquiry, and High Court.
Tim has undertaken business and equity valuations across a variety of sectors including agribusiness, manufacturing, media and services. he has completed many advisory assignments for public sector, corporate and private clients - which has encompassed economic feasibility studies, financial modelling, due diligence, conducting seminars, compilation of valuation handbooks, rural valuations, enterprise valuations and expert witness.
Tim is highly regarded in relation to compensation valuation in New Zealand. He has developed and enhanced compensation methodology and has an enviable record supporting clients in litigious contexts.

Chris has 35 years valuation and consultancy experience across a wide variety of property related matters including compensation, financial reporting statutory compliance, acquisition and rural valuation. He previously held senior positions at both Valuation New Zealand and Quotable Value – where his primary focus was the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions.
His client work for the firm since 2008 has covered a range of property types and issues including; agribusiness, horticultural , lifestyle and residential development land, forestry land valuations, Emission Trading Scheme issues, specialised asset valuations, valuations for financing, due dilligence tax compliance, trust formation, matrimonial disputes and compensation. In addition he has provided expert evidence in the High Court, District Court, Maori Land Court, Environment Court and Land Valuation Tribunal.
Chris’s infrastructure sector experience has included valuation and advisory projects covering compensation for easement and right of way property interests acquired by Transpower and other leading New Zealand energy companies, for new transmission lines and infrastructure upgrades, and compensation assessments for Crown entities taking property under the Public Works Act 1981 for motorways and pipelines.
His forestry sector experience has encompassed numerous valuation and advisory engagements throughout the country – including advice in relation to devolution of the New Zealand Forestry Service in the late 1980s, land value and rental review assessments as part of Crown Forestry license protocols and Maori Land rental review requirements, various Treaty of Waitangi settlement awards and providing expert evidence.
Chris is based in our Tauranga office and offers our clients sound market advice founded on a comprehensive understanding of the specific sector dynamics and balanced by experience gained working on behalf of owners, regulators and adjudicators in both the public and private domain. He is involved in a number of practice areas including forestry, dairy, Kiwifruit Avocados, infrastructure and pastoral.
Chris is the immediate past chairman of the Tauranga branch of the Property Institute of New Zealand and is a member of the Waikato No. 4 Land Valuation Tribunal.

Tim has 13 years property valuation experience and is based in our Blenheim office. Prior to joining CAPI in 2006 he worked as a valuer for Quotable Value based in Christchurch..
Since 2006, Tim’s client work has included viticulture, high country tenure review and rental valuations, pastoral valuations, lifestyle, specialised asset valuations and compensation for various infrastructure projects nationwide.
Tim’s viticulture experience includes the valuation of vineyards for financing, sale & purchase and rent setting purposes for a number of clients including Pernod Ricard, Indevin, Wither Hills, Cloudy Bay, Allan Scott Wines, Treasury Wine Estates, plus a number of others. Tim is also frequently engaged to provide valuation advice to most of the major banks. Having grown up and lived most of his life in Marlborough, Tim has in depth local knowledge of the region.
Tim has extensive experience in valuing large pastoral and high country properties throughout the South Island, either on behalf of Linz for tenure review or rent review purposes or for corporate and private landowners. Properties valued include Muller Station, Mt White, Mt Albert, Mt Creighton, Godley Peaks, Hossack, Glen Wye, Glenhope, Forest Range plus many more. Tim is designated as an assessor under Section 23P Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 to provide rental assessments on Crown Pastoral Lease properties.
Compensation is another key area of expertise and Tim has provided property advice on a number of projects nationwide including Transpowers 400kV transmission line build through the Waikato, Central Plains irrigation scheme through Canterbury, land acquisitions for roading on behalf of the New Zealand Transport Agency as well as new transmission line easement assessments for various network operators throughout New Zealand.
Tim offers our clients excellent technical skills and market knowledge, together with a sound appreciation of both private and public sector imperatives. He plays a key role in our viticulture, pastoral and compensation valuation teams.
Hawkes Bay (Rural)
Raised in Hawke’s Bay, Hadley has spent much of his working life in the agricultural industry. After completing a Diploma in Agricultural Business, Hadley started work in the stock and station industry based in the Bay of Plenty. He travelled extensively overseas and set up a farming business while living in England. Returning to New Zealand, Hadley worked as a Rural Finance Manager before embarking on a very successful rural real estate career.
Hadley’s successful background in the industry has seen him develop a wide skillset along with a client base that covers the globe. His years of specialized experience in rural property marketing and sales have resulted in an outstanding track record of over $300,000,000 in sales. These results place Hadley in the top tier of agents nationwide.
Having established Colliers Rural Hawke’s Bay in 2014, Hadley was appointed National Director of Colliers Rural and Agribusiness in 2017 and continues to foster and develop the TransTasman relationship and foreign interest investment in respect of rural industry assets.
Ruth commenced her career in rural real estate in August 2009 before establishing the first Colliers International Rural and Agribusiness franchise in New Zealand with Shane O’Brien in September 2014. Ruth has been integral in setting up the new Rural and Agribusiness systems for Colliers International and has recently stepped in to lead the growth of this business in Otago and Southland. The Otago Southland Rural and Agribusiness team also partners with companies that have strongly established regional connections - Compass Agribusiness and Colliers Queenstown (Otago Realty Limited).
Growing up on a large scale high country farm in Central Otago set the foundation for Ruth’s desire to be involved in the rural industry throughout her working life. After achieving a first class honours degree from Otago University, Ruth commenced her career in rural finance that spanned nine years with the National Bank. Not content to sit still for long, she joined the progressive new dairy company Synlait as their Business Development Manager focusing on growing their farming assets via key acquisitions around the Canterbury region. Ruth has also been involved in the rural building industry with her husband Nigel, and the experience of the incredible highs and lows that this industry encountered over the past 12 years has honed her management and problem solving skills to the highest level.
As a rural real estate professional, Ruth's business is about people and their farming businesses - and focussing on this instead of just the physical assets is key to how she achieves positive outcomes regardless of market conditions. Her underlying principles of trust and integrity ensures she continue to form long lasting, genuine relationships and apply an open, honest approach to all situations. Furthermore, Ruth's comprehensive understanding of an often complex and evolving rural market together with her ever-present proactive attitude allows her to provide solutions that go beyond the traditional real estate model.
Warwick has a business degree in Accountancy and Property along with almost a decade of experience in the New Zealand rural property market ensuring you receive professional, knowledgeable service from start to finish.

Alan has overall responsibility for Strategic Advisory for Colliers International in New Zealand.
He advises a wide range of public and private sector organizations. Clients include Auckland Council, Progressive Enterprises, Massey University, Ngai Tahu Property, Ngati Whatua Orakei, Ngati Whatua o Kaipara, and various departments of the New Zealand government including Police, MBIE, Callaghan Innovation and Housing New Zealand.

Chris Dibble oversees the delivery of award-winning research reports, PR and Communications for Colliers International New Zealand. With over 13 years of experience and university qualifications in economics, geography, marketing and property, Chris has a multi-disciplinary approach that assists a broad range of clients in their strategic decision making. Chris is a regular presenter and market commentator with an extensive network of media contacts to discuss the latest insights on current and future property trends. Chris also works with in-house and external writers to curate an audience-focused content delivery strategy for Colliers.
In 1993 Peter returned to New Zealand from the United Kingdom with several years’ experience in property management and development. During this time, he worked for Vanson Developments (Richard Branson´s property development company) for two years, and in investment and management for Fuller Peiser (Rolls Royce and Vickers Pension Funds). Upon his return to New Zealand, Peter joined Colliers International (NZ) Limited, where he has been ever since.
Peter now leads the Colliers International Capital Markets division, based in the Auckland CBD. The team is proud to have established a new approach to collaborative working within their division, a first the New Zealand marketplace.
