As of the third quarter of 2017; there are 379 shopping centers throughout Turkey, with a total leasable area of 11,774,425m². Thirteen shopping centers with a total of 508,763m² of new space was added during the three quarter of 2017. This 4% growth in leasable area shows us that openings mostly were postponed during 2017. Growth expectations for 2017 include 8 new shopping center to open in 6 provinces by the end of the year. With the addition of this new stock, total leasable area is forecasted to reach 11,900,000m². by the end of 2017. Currently, we noted that there are 14 cities in Turkey without shopping centers.
