The new health cluster in SĀGA will become the first of a kind in Latvia uniting various outpatient, rehabilitation and beauty care service providers in one place. The project developers invite doctors, cosmetologists, rehabilitation and physiotherapy specialists who have their own private practice and want to provide medical services in the lifestyle center to apply for the cluster.
“This shopping center will be unique in many ways and different from the usual practices of real estate developers in Latvia. We create a multifunctional community center with a wide range of options to combine shopping with everyday needs, thus delivering the visitors a new level of comfort. Our research indicates that the demand for medical services in Latvia is high, but the offer of quality premises is limited. Following the global trend, we decided to create the first health cluster in the shopping center in Latvia. It should be mentioned that at the same time we are also developing other concepts, such as sports clusters,” says Juris Barkāns, SIA VPH Latvia Director.
"Putting the health cluster into the shopping centers is a trend that is becoming increasingly popular in the world. We also see in Latvia that the offer from the real estate market doesn’t match the growing demand for premises for doctors' private practices. We are expecting sufficient interest from practicing doctors,” says Ēriks Bergmans, Colliers Baltics partner.

The SAGA lifestyle shopping center will combine shopping, leisure, sports and office center focusing on four main segments – household goods, everyday goods, sports and entertainment. Next to the center, it is planned to develop a pond with a landscaped area for enjoying recreation – not only a unique part of this project, but also a new practice for the Latvian market.
The implementation of the SAGA project will mark a new stage of shopping center segment development not only in Latvia, but in the Baltics as a whole. The traditional shopping centers will be replaced by the latest generation lifestyle centers, which are being successfully developed elsewhere in Europe. The SAGA project will become an example to follow in the shopping center segment in the Baltics.
The new shopping center on the border of Riga and Stopini districts, next to IKEA shopping center, is scheduled to be commissioned this autumn. Its total area will reach 57,000 square meters, while the parking lot will fit 2,000 cars.
The SĀGA Lifestyle Shopping Center is being developed by SIA VPH Latvia, which develops and manages world-class commercial real estate for international and local tenants in the Baltic States and Belarus. The company's success is based on a "customer first" approach. The projects developed by VPH include Nordika Shopping Valley and Decathlon, both located next to IKEA in Vilnius. So far, in Latvia, in 2014 the company developed the Mežciems shopping centre and managed it until 2017.
