Colliers International launches new online tool to help businesses discover new workplace strategies

Workplace Expert helps businesses across the world plan the future of their workplaces.

HONG KONG, 18 NOVEMBER 2020 –
Leading diversified professional services and investment management company Colliers International announced the launch of a new online tool – Workplace Expert.

Developed in response to changing work practices, the tool helps businesses take the first steps in shaping their future workplace strategy and creating an optimal work environment for their organisation and people.

Workplace Expert recommends different office environments and configurations based on responses to questions about business’ goals, working patterns and drivers behind brand and operating culture. The tool is fueled by extensive benchmarking data, insights from Colliers’ global surveys during COVID-19 and emerging market trends.

“Now, more than ever, the office is being regarded as a space with a vital role in connecting and empowering employees to operate at their best in the next evolution of workplace experiences,” said Truddy Cheung, Head of Workplace Advisory | APAC and a leader on the global Colliers Workplace Advisory team.

Workplace Expert is a quick and easy tool built to help organisations learn more about the type of work environment their business needs to accelerate success by helping them determine the right strategy and office mix tailored to their organisational priorities.”

Workplace Expert responds to inputs about organisational characteristics of each individual company, rather than recommending a solution based on a preference already indicated. As well as suggesting specific office environments, the tool recommends office sizing and the number of workstations and functional areas needed.

Sam Harvey-Jones, Managing Director, Occupier Services | Asia added: “Rather than adopting a ‘one size fits all’ approach, occupiers should work with a corporate real estate expert like Colliers to evaluate the full spectrum of space and leasing options, and tailor a workplace portfolio in line with their business needs. Many occupiers don’t realise to what extent things have changed, and that there are innovative new models available to them that may not have been feasible in the past.”

Doug Henry, Managing Director, Occupier Services | Australia & New Zealand added: “We are thrilled to be launching Workplace Expert on a global level to help lead our industry into the future. Not only will it allow us to offer high-level insights to clients in an engaging, intuitive and free online tool, but it will also start an informed conversation about what the future of the workplace will look like.”
