Daniel Quinn

Executive Vice President | Boston

Dan Quinn joined Colliers International in January 2005. He is an executive vice president, head of the Development & Consulting Services group and a shareholder of the firm. He has over 30 years of development and consulting experience in the commercial real estate industry. Dan’s two primary areas of expertise are real estate development and consulting services.  

Dan began his career as an architect in New York City and, after acquiring his MBA, joined the Philadelphia-based real estate investment, development and consulting firm Radnor Advisors in 1980.  Named president of the firm in 1992, he oversaw its sale to Insignia/ESG in 1997. With its subsequent acquisition by CB Richard Ellis, Dan moved to Washington, D.C. in 2000 to head CBRE’s Mid-Atlantic Consulting Group.

In his role as a development manager, he has overseen the planning, design and construction of over 10 million square feet of office, educational, data center, healthcare and life science space. He also has extensive experience in the areas of master planning, entitlement and land development.

Dan’s development clients including the Vanguard Group, Hewlett Packard, Steward Health Care System, Samsung, Princeton University, the New England Conservatory of Music, Liberty Mutual Group, Maine Medical Center, John Hancock and private investors.

Over the course of his career, Dan has provided consulting services domestically and internationally to corporations, institutions and non-profits. These services have included strategic real estate planning, feasibility studies, site searches and disposition of excess assets.

A representative list of clients includes Boehringer Ingelheim, The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Exelon, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Inova Health System, the Jaya Group,  Lifespan/Rhode Island Hospital, State Street Corporation, the University of Pennsylvania, Unum Group, the US Steel and Carnegie Pension Fund and Williams & Connolly, LLP.

Richard Barnett

Senior Vice President | Boston

Richard Barnett is a senior vice president in Colliers International’s Development & Consulting Services group.  He joined the firm in 2011 to lead the group’s Healthcare & Life Sciences practice.  Richard has 30 years of experience in all aspects of construction management, with specific knowledge in the areas of design/build, architectural millwork and fabrication, working primarily in the healthcare and life science sectors.

Prior to joining Colliers International, Richard was director of healthcare and life science projects at Richard White Sons, Inc.  In his role, he led quality assurance/quality control oversight and maintained constant contact with owners to ensure that all quality expectations of clients were exceeded by the project team.

In the years prior, Richard was founder and president of a construction company that specialized in projects for hospitals, laboratories, ambulatory surgery centers and retail stores. He led his firm to become one of 17 U.S. companies to be certified ISO 9001-2001 and also pursued and achieved ISO 14001-2003 certification.

Directing the process of initiating and becoming an ISO certified company has given Richard a comprehensive understanding of what Total Quality Commitment means, which he applies to each of his projects.

Tim Betjemann

Senior Vice President

Tim Betjemann joined Colliers International’s Development & Consulting Services group in 2011 to provide project management services to our clients. These services include real estate development, project entitlement, design management, project planning and delivery. Prior to joining Colliers International,Tim was a project manager at Winter Street Architects, Inc., where he worked on the Salem State University Stanley Weir Building renovation project in Salem, Massachusetts. The project called for a 12,000-square-foot, $5-million, multi-phased renovation of a light industrial building into office, IT and music rehearsal space.

While at Winter Street Architects, Tim also worked on a 60,000-square-foot data center equipment and systems coordination plan for a wireless company in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Tim also served as a project architect at Mayer + Associates Architects on a 570,000-square-foot mixed-use development in Destin, Florida.

Prior to that, Tim was at Elkus Manfredi Architects where he worked on the design and project management teams for 33 Arch Street, St. Paul Street Residences, and West End Residences at Emerson Place among others.

Dominic Gagnon

Senior Vice President

Dominic Gagnon joined Colliers International’s Development and Consulting Services group in 2015 as a senior vice president. He has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, in addition to the institutional, commercial and industrial sectors.

Prior to joining Colliers International, Dominic was employed with Baystate Health managing capital projects within the 5 hospital system encompassing over 4.5 million square feet. He was involve in an active capital program that resulted in an annual project volume of approximately $75m during his 9 years there. In his role with Baystate Health Dominic managed projects through all levels: strategic planning, capital planning, design procurement, equipment planning, furnishings, operations and implementation.

Dominic's experience prior to Baystate Health involved significant design and project management work internationally within the food production industry through his employment with The Dennis Group. Companies such as Tim Horton/Maidstone Bakeries, Diageo and Hans Kissle were among the clients. Addition experience with Alderman & MacNiesh Architects and Engineers provided Dominic significant experience in educational projects with the firm ultimately completing over 200 schools in the state of Massachusetts.

Dominic has a strong focus in team development and productivity. His ability to listen, learn and problem solve are an asset to any team he serves with.

Stanley Hunter

Senior Vice President

Stanley Hunter joined Colliers International’s Development and Consulting Services group in 2017 as a Senior Vice President and brings with him extensive experience in healthcare and higher education.

Prior to joining Colliers, Mr. Hunter was  Project Director at Stamford Hospital, (Stamford, CT). He was the team lead for the design and construction of a $450M program including a ground-up 650,000 sf new hospital, new Central Utility Plant, and comprehensive site improvements. 

Previously, Stan was Project Executive for the Baystate Health (Springfield, MA) Hospital of the Future project, leading the $300M first two phases of that 640,000 sf project.  Also for Baystate, he was manager of capital projects hospital system, responsible for all levels of projects:  strategic planning, programming, design, equipment procurement, IT coordination, construction, and go-live.

Stan applied problem solving, risk management, budget assessment, communication, and team building techniques to deliver the occupancy of the new Stamford and Baystate Hospitals on schedule and under budget. He seamlessly works with clinical and support departments, and leads design and construction teams effectively.  He applies Lean techniques for construction and clinical workflows.  His projects excel in patient satisfaction, community involvement, fund-raising, and clinical/technology advancement goals.

Kevin Koch

Vice President

Working as a project manager in the Development and Consulting Services Group, primarily on tenant improvement projects, I have the incredible opportunity to advise clients on a wide array of projects, each accompanied by a unique set of challenges and hurdles. As I implement a process from kick-off to eventual occupancy, I have found that clients appreciate when I use my expertise to provide them with multiple scenarios, solutions and/or recommendations from which they can make an educated decision. I help clients vet and review all such options so they have confidence that we are moving in the best direction to position their business for success.

Before joining Colliers in early 2015, I worked for general contracting firms, Commodore Builders in Boston, and Structure Tone in Philadelphia, serving in both superintendent and project management positions. There, I developed a strong foundation in managing projects, learning many of the construction and overall process fundamentals that remain critical to the role in which I serve today.

I strive to be meticulous, decisive and fair.  I truly enjoy team collaboration that often leads to identifying what are sometimes more elusive solutions. I look to always have a positive, upbeat attitude since I genuinely enjoy what I do and the people who surround me. Away from the office, I enthusiastically follow Boston sports, play ice hockey, golf, run marathons and also redirect my project management skills to a seemingly endless list of home renovations.

John Sadowski

Senior Vice President

As a senior leader in the Development and Consulting Services Group, it is my role to provide unparalleled service to a broad range of clients. Such areas of service include the planning and management of base building, ground-up and interior projects in the academic, residential, commercial/corporate, healthcare and life science sectors. In conjunction with these specialty services, I also advise and represent developers, owners and tenants in a consultative capacity.

Prior to joining Colliers, I spent twenty years at Leggat McCall Properties, serving in a partnership and ownership role. Years of service in the field has afforded me an incredible amount of experience in all facets of the commercial real estate industry as well as invaluable personal experience with a great majority of brokers in the Boston area. Often working alongside brokers, my engineering background brings an important, more technical perspective to a transaction, allowing me to be effective in early stage development and lease negotiations.

I pride myself in executing projects in a concise and detailed manner, maintaining a deep understanding of the big picture and an ever-important sense of humor. I strive to go above and beyond clients’ expectations to ensure repeat business, which has proven effective as clients often return to me when they begin exploring lease renewals and/or relocations. An overwhelmingly positive outlook for the Boston market keeps me engaged and interested as I continue to pursue my craft while also serving as a mentor to several of my colleagues.
