As the president and managing partner at Colliers International Boston, I truly enjoy the constant interaction and dialog with both clients and colleagues, always striving to add value through good, strategic advice in a very dynamic marketplace. My current position affords me the opportunity to evaluate a client’s situation, assemble a team of the most suitable Colliers representatives, and then orchestrate a strategic plan with all the necessary ingredients for a successful implementation. I have the great fortune of being surrounded by very bright, motivated colleagues. I devote myself to thoughtful hiring, mentoring, and training practices to best position Colliers for continued growth and success well into the future.
I joined the highly reputable Meredith & Grew – now Colliers International – over thirty years ago after working in a sales role for Xerox Corporation. The sales skills I honed at Xerox served me well in the early stages of my career and have since been enhanced by deep market knowledge and industry expertise acquired over the years. Moreover, serving on the boards of several organizations, such as St. Sebastian’s School, Dedham Savings, and Big Brothers & Big Sisters, has given me a unique glimpse into various micro and macroeconomic factors (ie. hiring, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, debt, law, etc.) to better understand issues and challenges my own clients may be facing and advise accordingly.
Winning inspires me. Whether it is my own personal success or taking pride in a colleague’s or the firm’s accomplishments, I am consistently motivated to provide the highest level of service, both as an advisor to clients and as a leader within Colliers. Outside of the office, I enjoy reading, participating in athletic activities like squash, golf, tennis, and yoga, and spending time with my family, especially at our home on Squam Lake.

With a 20+ year career in the real estate industry as a downtown leasing advisor, I think of myself as an “urbanphile”; one that loves the city and all that it offers. I enjoy nothing more than learning, working, and staying apprised of the ever-evolving Boston urban landscape and helping my clients navigate that landscape with skill and creativity. I have a strong appreciation for the relationships I have formed and continue to develop with my clients along the way. My drive, optimism and loyalty are defining qualities in a business that I find to be more an art than a science, requiring judgment and patience. My clients have achieved tremendous success with my assistance.
While I had early exposure with my parents running their own small real estate business, I began my personal real estate journey as an intern with Meredith & Grew – now Colliers International – and was subsequently offered a position in property management to commence immediately upon graduation from Boston College. In property management, I oversaw more than 50 properties and developed a strong understanding of the inner-workings of large urban buildings and portfolios. This experience gave me a thirst for more real estate knowledge and led me to a graduate program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where I earned a Masters of Science in Real Estate. Post-graduation, I returned to Meredith & Grew, transitioning to the brokerage advisory side of the business where I have remained ever since.
I revel in the fast-paced and challenging nature of the real estate industry and enjoy dissecting a client’s business, allowing me to help them solve problems and improve overall business strategy over time. Beyond my professional life, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, yoga, golf, traveling, reading, and devoting my time to several charitable organizations. Such organizations have greatly impacted me, both personally as well as professionally, especially when I have been able to offer meaningful real estate expertise that ultimately contributes to their overall success.
As a senior vice president on the Urban Brokerage team, I embrace continual opportunities to advise a wide variety of tenants and landlords in the dynamic, downtown Boston market. I view myself as an extension of my clients’ businesses, and therefore enjoy identifying creative options to accommodate their goals, brand, culture and efforts to retain/recruit vital talent.
I was first exposed to Colliers via a 2007 summer internship before graduating from Providence College and was excited to build upon that experience by launching my career at Colliers the following year. I take pride in authenticity, in having a strong work ethic, and in leveraging my unique market intel to help clients navigate their real estate needs. Being engrained in the fabric of the city and having a unique perspective on its constant evolution both energizes and excites me to come to work every day.
Outside of the office, I enjoy skiing, boating, spinning, running, cooking, and reading. I am also involved with Heading Home, an organization focused on ending homelessness in Greater Boston, actively supporting the mission as a member of its Outreach Council.
Mr. Schneier joined Colliers International in 2016 and is currently a vice president in the Boston/Cambridge Brokerage team. His expertise entails a wide range of services, including acquisitions, dispositions, tenant and landlord advisory services, and global portfolio advisory.
Prior to joining Colliers International, he was a Managing Director & Partner at Boston Realty Advisors, specializing in both tenant and landlord representation. Mr. Schneier was with the firms of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank and Lincoln Property Company from 2003 to 2009.
I represent clients of all shapes and sizes in their quest to find space that supports company culture, encourages business growth, and effectively stays within a desired budget. I enjoy utilizing my strong quantitative skills to not only present clients with on and off-market options, but to fully analyze and evaluate these options so decision-makers have the confidence to make highly informed decisions.
Strongly impacted by my father’s involvement in the office furniture sales business, I had an early interest in the tangible aspects of real estate and developed an appreciation for how space and place could drastically impact a company’s culture. With a growing passion for the industry and a strong desire to learn more, I was fortunate to have been hired by Colliers in early 2015, immediately following an immersive internship experience with them. I have tremendous appreciation for the level of support, camaraderie, and overall entrepreneurial spirit that the company embodies and that has encouraged me to spearhead a specialty practice group focused on the emerging technologies sector. I look forward to forming many long-lasting relationships with early stage companies who, in many cases, will experience great success. Knowing that my advisory and support can play a vital role in that success is a constant motivator.
Though I spend most of my work week exploring office spaces, I do consider myself an outdoorsman and enjoy sailing, fishing, and skiing whenever possible. I am also very involved with non-profit groups, such as Youth Enrichment Services of Boston (Y.E.S), an organization providing affordable, sports-based youth development and leadership programs to Boston children.
As a leasing broker with the urban team, I represent Boston landlords as well as a diverse group of tenants, most of which are actively trying to use their real estate as a vehicle to build their brand and attract talent. Working on either side of a real estate transaction, I strive to help create a clear vision of what our clients want and advise them accordingly as to how it can be achieved.
Prior to joining Colliers in 2016, I spent 4 years in property management at JLL, where I developed a strong foundation in building operations that has proven invaluable in my role today. I aim to be creative, energetic, and reliable with my clients and am dedicated to finding each of them the very best solution for their unique situation.
I enjoy the opportunities and challenges that come from working in one of the most active, yet most stable markets in the world, fed from a world class education pipeline. The competitive atmosphere and overall dynamics of the industry, combined with the collaborative team spirit at Colliers, all contribute to an exciting and supportive work environment where I plan to learn and grow in the years to come.
Outside of the office, I enjoy playing ice hockey, golfing, skiing (snow and water), and am an avid follower of all things Boston sports.
