A market leader in the commercial brokerage industry in Southern California and SIOR president, I got started in the business in 1986. Focusing on industrial product in North Los Angeles from the San Fernando Valley to Ventura County, I have developed deep market knowledge and enduring relationships that continue to make the difference my clients value and expect.

After more than three decades of hard work, I have earned a reputation for honesty, integrity and, not least of all, performance. In the past 10 years, my team and I have completed transactions totaling more than 20 million square feet and $1 billion. We work with parties on a wide variety of transaction types to buy, sell and lease manufacturing and other industrial properties.

One of the best parts of my job is my team – people who strive every day to be at the top of our game.  For every client—buyer, seller, landlord or tenant—we work smart to achieve their goals and create an environment for predictive results. We pride ourselves on being well-versed on the users and tenants in the market, and on having solid relationships with prominent landlords. And though I enjoy the thrill of winning as much as the next guy, I also truly enjoy the process. Anytime I can solve a challenge or positively affect a client’s bottom line is a great win in my book.

Patrick DuRoss

A detailed and diligent advisor, I work with investors and occupiers of industrial and R&D properties in the North Los Angeles region, including the San Fernando Valley, Ventura County and the Santa Clarita Valley. I got started in commercial real estate with Colliers in 2004 and joined the DeGrinis Industrial Team a year later. Since then, I have provided sales, leasing and land development advisory services to a wide variety of independent and institutional clients.

Our team, with deep expertise in every corner of the market we serve, is a task force of creative problem solvers. We pride ourselves on peering below the surface to connect the dots for our clients to put them ahead of the competition. A driving strategic member of the team, I am ardent about tracking even seemingly small bits of market information that may benefit our clients.

Jeff Abraham

Vice President
Los Angeles - Encino

Jeff Abraham specializes in advising occupiers and investors of industrial and R&D properties within the North Los Angeles region, which includes the San Fernando Valley, Ventura County and Santa Clarita Valley, in sales, leasing and land development.  Jeff joined Colliers International's Encino office in 2008, joining John DeGrinis, SIOR, Patrick DuRoss, SIOR and Kate Borden as a part of Team DeGrinis.  Together, the team is recognized as one of the premier industrial teams in Southern California with 20 million square feet of transactions valued at ver $1 billion.

Early on Jeff Proved to be instrumental to the team by uncovering opportunity during the economic downturn by becoming the team's "cold calling machine."  He learned how to aggressively pursue opportunities for his clients.  Jeff has developed a tireless work ethic and learned the most important ingredient in this business, developing relationships by genuinely listening to and caring about the goals and needs of his clients.

Jeff graduated from Michigan State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Supply Chain Management.  He began his career in sales in 2006 with The Hershey Company.  In this capacity, he was in the top ten percent sales territory in the Western Region for 2007.  Jeff joined Colliers in 2008.  His desire to join the commercial real estate industry starts and ends with people.  Jeff thrives on developing relationships with clients, fellow real estate advisors and vendors by being honorable and reliable.

Kate Borden

Senior Client Services Specialist

Working with the best in the business for Colliers’ DeGrinis Industrial Team, I operate behind the scenes as a senior client services specialist. I manage the day-to-day work for our various projects and assignments throughout North Los Angeles, organizing my team around what really matters most—our clients.

Before joining Colliers in 2006, I gained extensive experience coordinating projects for Universal Creative, Alzheimer’s Association and the New Orleans Saints. My background, including a Master of Business Administration in Marketing, allows me to take an active role working with clients and cooperating brokers to help pave the way for successful transactions.

Ensuring optimal visibility and efficiency for our team and client transactions is perhaps one of my most important responsibilities. From property specific tasks to team promotional materials, I determine and implement a variety of marketing strategies. I take pride in my team’s success and strongly believe that facing tasks head-on ensures the job gets done.
