With more than 12 years of experience in commercial real estate, Colliers EVP Adam Schindler specializes in business development and portfolio management, including financial planning, modeling and analysis for corporations, law firms and nonprofit organizations. Schindler’s practice focuses on aligning the needs of occupiers of space with strategic real estate solutions. Adam brings a unique perspective to a vast array of clients with his expertise in the market. His insight keeps him connected and he is able to expand his real estate knowledge not only in the DMV area, but nationally/internationally, as businesses he has worked with grow and look to him for assistance in their real estate needs.
Prior to joining Colliers International, Adam was a partner at Serten Advisors (acquired by Colliers in 2017). He received CREBA’s prestigious 2015 Leasing Agent of the Year award for Maryland and has been recognized for numerous “Deal of the Year” nominations throughout the course of his career. Over the past several years, he was twice named one of Bisnow’s “35 under 35” and was named one of DCA Live's "40 under 40." He most recently was inducted into the "2019 Everest Club" which recognizes the top 10% of all Colliers professionals in brokerage across the U.S. based on revenue production and was named one of Connect CRE's Top Brokers of 2020.
Adam’s most notable clients include The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, Kratos Defense Security Solutions, 2U, Inc., and Customers Bancorp, for whom he has managed lease and acquisition negotiations throughout the country. He also recently executed regional headquarters relocations for Feld Entertainment, 2U and Oceaneering International. Prior to Colliers, he participated on the Studley team that completed transactions for National Public Radio, Arent Fox and the Department of Justice. He also worked as a senior analyst with Marriott International in Bethesda, Maryland.
Adam graduated from the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business. Adam spent two years abroad, taking classes at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the University of London.
Memberships & Involvements
Adam actively volunteers at the DC Capital Area Food Bank and Break for the City. He has served on the boards of the Young Consultants of the District of Columbia, JSSA, Rock & Roll for Children Foundation, Inc., Best Buddies, and Friends of Lombardi. He also chaired the 2017 and 2018 Maryland Best Buddies Friendship Walk.
