As Property Manager for Colliers International, I'm currently responsible for the management of a portfolio of retail shopping centers located within the Bay Area where I oversee all aspects of property management including operations, tenant relations, vendor oversight and financial reporting.
I joined Colliers in 2015 with more than ten years of experience managing retail, office and industrial properties for institutional and private equity clients. Prior to joining Colliers, I worked for such firms as Equity Office, JLL and River Rock Real Estate Group where I was responsible for the management of several institutional grade projects such as the Pruneyard Shopping Center and Office Towers, Skyport Plaza and the Clorox Building, a 24-story Class-A high-rise project with retail on the two lower levels.
My professional experience includes building operations management, preparation of budgets, CAM reconciliations and financial reporting, overseeing capital improvements as well as establishing and maintaining strong tenant and client relations. I am also experienced with managing distressed assets for loan servicers such as Wells Fargo Bank and LNR Property Corporation where I successfully reduced operating costs while recovering revenues from defaulted tenants.
In addition to my commercial real estate experience, I spent three years with Keller Williams Real Estate where I worked closely with my clients on the purchase and sale of residential investment properties as well as primary residences. I received the “Rookie of the Month” award for my strong sales record and fostering client growth.
I hold a State of California Real Estate License and I am a graduate of California State University, Hayward, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an option in Corporate Management and Marketing. I'm currently working to complete the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation with BOMI International.

Ms. Nielsen serves as a Property Manager at Colliers International. She has more than nine years of commercial property management experience and is currently responsible for the oversight of a diverse office and industrial warehouse portfolio totaling over 700,000 square feet throughout the Bay Area. Although, Ms. Nielsen’s portfolio currently consists of office and industrial projects, she has extensive experience with large retail shopping centers as well.
Ms. Nielsen prides herself on her efficiency and organizational skills in order to maintain the highest standards in her work product. Her clients, tenants and vendors rely on her to make time-sensitive and critical decisions in a timely and resourceful manner.
Ms. Nielsen joined Colliers International in 2010, supporting a 2.7 million square foot portfolio of industrial and business park properties. She transferred with this portfolio to Cassidy Turley in 2013. During this time, Jennifer served as an instrumental resource in supporting the largest portion of the portfolio in the Bay Area and guiding the transition of property management firms due to her familiarity with the buildings, tenants and client systems. Jennifer returned to Colliers early in 2014.
Her previous employment consisted of 10 years with Ringler Associates as a Structured Settlement Specialist Assistant. While at Ringler, she worked closely with insurance claim adjusters, life company representatives and both defense and plaintiff attorneys to successfully negotiate fair settlements while achieving the highest benefit to the injured plaintiffs.
Prior to Ringler Associates, Ms. Nielsen was a Credit Manager for Norwest Financial where she earned herself the District Credit Manager Sales Leader award for 1999. While at Norwest, Ms. Nielsen managed 3 loan offices in San Leandro, Pleasanton and San Pablo.
Senior Property Manager
As a member of Colliers’ Retail Team I’m responsible for the day-to-day management of retail properties throughout the Bay Area. As Director of Property Management, I oversee a team of Real Estate professionals responsible for a portfolio of commercial properties consisting of retail, office, mixed-use and industrial, performing all aspects of property management including tenant relations, lease administration, building operations, renewal leasing, construction management, vendor management and client financial reporting.
I joined Colliers in 2013 and have more than 22 years of commercial real estate management experience. Prior to joining Colliers, I was a Real Estate Manager with The Radius Group for 7 years, where I was responsible for the management and operations of 800,000 square feet of Class A retail and office properties located in Brentwood, Oakley and Antioch, California.
Prior to joining The Radius Group, I worked for Robert Half International serving as Senior Transaction Manager responsible for strategic planning, office site selection, lease negotiations, project budgeting, space planning and construction management within the Western United States, Canada and International markets.
I began my property management career with Jones Lang LaSalle where I was responsible for the management of 1 million square feet of retail, office and mixed-use properties in the Pleasanton, San Ramon, Walnut Creek and Livermore areas.
