Brian Korach, MAI began his career in real estate at James Madison University when he served as the REIT Sector Analyst for the Madison Investment Fund. After graduation, he worked in mortgage banking where he passed the mortgage bankers exam and gained valuable experience in the financing of real property. In 2004, he joined the Fairfax County Assessor’s Office where he became fully immersed in real estate valuation and mass appraisal. He continued to take real estate courses while working at the assessor’s office. In 2007, Brian joined CBRE where he started his career in commercial property valuation and consulting. While at CBRE, he was a member of the National Retail Specialty Practice. He has since worked for IRR and joined Colliers in 2019. Brian’s assignments span a wide variety of properties including but not limited to retail, industrial, flex, apartments, manufactured housing communities, office, adaptive reuse, mixed-use, hotels, residential, automotive dealerships, vacant land, and special-purpose properties.
Successfully completed all of the necessary courses, comprehensive exams, the demonstration of knowledge, and the specialized experience requirement needed to qualify for the MAI Designation.
