Regional Finance Manager
Dan is Director of Colliers Government Solutions, the only comprehensive services platform focused on government real estate on a national basis.
Currently, Dan acts as overall Portfolio Asset Manager for the Colliers FDIC account. In this capacity, he directs both operational and sales activities relating to the management and disposal of properties assigned to Colliers by the FDIC. The Colliers FDIC team provides comprehensive turn-key management, marketing and disposition services to the FDIC on a national basis under a multi-year contract resulting in the sale of more than 250 properties to date.
Dan has extensive real estate experience in the consulting and financial areas over the course of his career. In addition to holding an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California, he has gained valuable experience from working at all levels within the publicly traded and privately owned sectors of real estate. He has had leadership roles in managing large government and public offerings, debt placements, large real estate transactions for both the public and private entities, and construction and development experience.
Dan has more than 18 years of real estate experience and has been a part of transactions in excess of $2.0 billion. With this experience, Dan has gained a strong understanding and working knowledge of project management and the real estate industry.
Since joining Colliers in 2000, major accomplishments include:
• Managing consultant for the Invensys account relative to its worldwide portfolio of properties.
• From ’06 to ’08, served as managing consultant to the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico
• From “03 to ’06, served as consultant to the State of California Office of Court Construction for the transfer of court facilities between county and state governmental agencies. In this capacity, he helped facilitate an interactive project management system for more than 600 facilities, spearheaded sustainability programs, conducted due diligence coordination, designed and implemented financial reporting mechanisms, participated in legislative review and amendments, and carried out logistical support.
• Served as a financial advisor for the US Army’s Residential Community Investment Program (“RCI”) tasked with reviewing the construction and development pro formas for the selection of a master developer on multiple bases across the United States.
