About

Professional Summary

I started my career in commercial real estate in 1990 after my we sold our family business, Siegel’s Super Markets to Farm Fresh Stores.  Initially, I specialzed in retail properties and clients but over the years I have branched out to work with office and light industrial landlords and tenants as well.

I focus on developing client relationships over transactions.  A recent example of the benefits of this focus is a current client of mine, Mr. P.  I met Mr. P. when he bought a small multi-family building I had listed.  He enjoyed working with me and asked me to bring him other investments that he could review.  Since then he has purchased an office building from me and we are now looking at additional multi-family properties for his family.  He has also introduced me to associates of his who are also in the market for commercial real estate investments.

When working with me, my clients benefit from my skills in; needs assessment, detail oriented project management, team building, communications, problem solving and my consultative approach to negotiations.

One of the things that sets me apart is that no matter what aspect of commercial real estate my client is interested in, I’ve been in their shoes.  I grew up in a family business and have owned my own small business, and as such, I’ve been a tenant and I am an active landlord.  I have bought and sold investment property and I’ve developed property as well.  So, when I hear hesitation or concern in my client’s voice, I can share my experiences in dealing with the same issues.

Among the many reasons I enjoy my career is that I get to meet with a wide variety of business owners and am able to gain insight into how their businesses operate, what makes them successful, how they overcome challenges and determine how I can further their success through real estate.

I am a Richmond native and VCU graduate.  I have  been active and held leadership roles in many area organizations including Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers, the Weinstein JCC, and  the Salvation Army of Central Virginia’s Facilites Committee. I have two sons and my hobbies include;  tennis, golf, visiting wineries and reading. I'm now taking beginners Spanish to help shake some cobwebs out of my brain.

I am a member of Rainmakers BNI, where I serve as Educational Chair, ICSC and GRACRE.
