David has represented a myriad of service related, technology and government contracting companies. With more than 21 years of tenant representation experience, David has negotiated more than six million square feet on behalf of his client base. David’s areas of expertise are the analysis, structuring and negotiation to satisfy the long-term objectives of the client. With market knowledge, experience and creativity David uses his experiences and market intelligence to represent users of space and assist them in reducing occupancy costs through a variety of long-term strategic plans. His expertise includes economic benchmarking, competitive property and financial analysis, market knowledge, and lease vs. ownership evaluations. His accomplishments include representing AT&T in a lease buyout and assignment to Northrop Grumman Information Technology for 242,000 SF. In addition, David represents a large number of Washington area mid-cap companies in their acquisition or disposition of office space. David has successfully enabled clients to satisfy their requirements through increased cost containment and term flexibility.

David began his real estate career as a vice president with the Charles E. Smith Company (Vornado) leasing and managing a real estate portfolio in excess of 20 million SF. In 2000, David transitioned his tenant representation practice to Cushman & Wakefield of Virginia as a director of brokerage services.

After a successful career at C&W, David was recruited and hired to oversee the tenant representation practice at the Trammell Crow Company. Prior to joining Serten Advisors, David was Managing Director in Studley’s Suburban Washington office.

Education:

David received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park

Memberships & Involvements:

Outside the office, David enjoys participating and coaching in recreational sports leagues, golfing and hiking. He is an active  member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the American Heart Association and sits on the board of directors for JSSA (Jewish Social Services Agency).
