Chief Building Engineer
Don is the Director of Engineering and Construction Management for Colliers International in the Salt Lake Office. He is responsible for the overall training, supervision and Best Practices for Chief Engineers and Building Engineers on the Asset Services Team.
Don brings an extensive engineering and construction background to the Asset Services team. His work history includes a 16 year senior position as the Regional Chief Engineer and Construction Manager with CB Richard Ellis in Salt Lake City. Prior experience also included a 12 year career as a commercial and industrial contractor with Rocky Mountain Contractors. As the Director of Engineering and Construction Management, Don is responsible for the supervision, training and Best Practices for the property engineering teams. He is the driving force in achieving the Government Energy Star rating on commercial buildings and serves as the team representative for all LEED Certification programs.
He is an active member of each property budget review committee. He is highly skilled in office high-rise engineering standards and worked directly for several years as the Chief Engineer of the 257 Tower in downtown Salt Lake City. Don has led diverse engineering teams to achieve efficiency and success across an extensive commercial portfolio.
