Role & Responsibilities
Jim is a seasoned real estate professional with Colliers International, based in Silicon Valley. His expertise centers on providing strategy and execution for complex transactions, client portfolio planning and risk management, and delivery of integrated real estate services for Collier’s clients. Assignments have included work for technology clients such as Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems, Microsoft, Verisign / Syniverse, Appirio, Jabil Circuits, Salesforce.com, InvenSense as well as the nutrition bar leader – Clif Bar.
Prior to joining Colliers, Mr. McPhee was an Executive Director for Cushman & Wakefield, a Senior Vice President for Jones Lang LaSalle and a Regional Vice President for Prentiss Properties, a national REIT, where he was responsible for managing acquisitions and lease transactions for a 5 million square foot office and industrial portfolio in Northern California. Mr. McPhee has regularly been a “Top Producing Office Broker” with prior firms and was a “Top Leasing Agent” with Prentiss Properties in 1997 and 1998. In 2001, 2002 and 2006 Jim was on the team that won “Transaction of the Year” as named by the SF Business Times and The Society of Industrial & Office Brokers. In 2010 and 2011, The Clif Bar Headquarters acquisition was named as the California Real Estate Deal of the Year and The SF Business Times East Bay Deal of the Year. Jim has been involved with & completed over 600 transactions valued in excess of $4.3 billion dollars during his career.

Mr. McPhee is a graduate of California State University, East Bay with a Bachelor of Science degree. He holds MCR and SIOR designations. Mr. McPhee is also a member of the NAIOP, the Association of Silicon Valley Brokers as well as CoreNet Global which is dedicated to supporting Corporate Real Estate Managers goal of driving innovation in the workplace.
