Professional Summary

I am a Vice Chairman in Colliers International’s New York Tri-State Region, focusing primarily on the representation of tenants in the acquisition of space through lease or purchase, and property owners, investors and developers in the marketing and disposition of real estate, primarily in New York City. I joined Colliers in 2010.

Accomplishments

I have worked in real estate nearly my entire life, completing transactions valued at $2 billion globally, including several of New York City’s most significant leases of their particular years. This long tenure and successful track record gives me an understanding of the history and impact of market dynamics in a city where real estate is one of the most important and financially-impactful decisions a company can make. My sophisticated lease structuring and collaborative negotiation style have resulted in long-term, multi-market relationships and accelerated client success across multiple assignments. I constantly seek to evolve my capabilities and service methodology in reflection of the changing real estate market and industry, tapping new resources and engaging in strategic professional partnerships to ensure clients have the information and expertise necessary to maximize all opportunities.

I have represented tenants from nearly every industry and size range over my 40-year career. Clients include Omnicon Group, Viacom, Lantis Eyewear, American Media Inc., Casablanca Capital, Briggs Inc., Amlon, Janet Sartin, Renaissance Learning, Playboy Enterprises Inc., OSK Marketing and Communications Inc., Tata Communications and the New Zealand Mission. As owner’s agent, I have leased space in many Manhattan buildings, including 410 and 430 Park Avenue; 1212, 1345 and 1350 Avenue of the Americas; 757 Third Avenue; 800 Second Avenue; 575 Madison Avenue, 6 East 43rd Street, and 228 and 235 East 45th Street.

I began my real estate career in the Real Estate Department of Loews Corp. I was a founding executive and spent the bulk of my real estate tenure at the Edward S. Gordon Company, a New York real estate institution that merged with CBRE in 2003. I continue to apply ESG’s industry-leading standards and legacy of excellence in all my current client assignments.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio State University and enhanced my training in real estate at New York University’s Real Estate Institute.

Memberships & Involvements:

I have served on the Board of Directors of the Arts & Sciences School at Ohio State University since 2010. I also served as Chairman of the Real Estate Division of Israel Bonds from 2011 to 2013. I have been honored on multiple occasions by both the Real Estate Division of Israel Bonds and the Jeffrey Modell Foundation.
