About

Professional Summary

I am passionate about Oakland, it's continuing retail renaissance and my role in working through development, sales and leasing of commercial retail properties from stand-alone buildings to towering mixed-use projects and everything in between. As a consultant to developers, I strategize in the early stages of project planning to define their needs from a retail standpoint.

While my retail brokerage covers the entire East Bay Region, I am primarily focused in Oakland and specialize in urban street retail, neighborhood planning and place-making opportunities, representing both Landlords and Tenants.

My expertise here gives me intimate knowledge of who is in the market and allows me to provide a very detailed, street-by-street perspective about the current real estate market, as well as municipality guidelines to clients, which include developers of Mixed Retail/ Office/ Residential projects, philanthropic institutions, individual property owners and retail Tenants looking to start or expand their businesses in Oakland.

Restaurants, bars and taproom uses are the majority of my clients, along with fitness, cafe and boutique retailers. With a vast network of broker, client, and City of Oakland relationships, I have a trusted advisor role that allows me privy early on to which national groups are looking to open here, as well as local & independent restaurateurs and retailers. Being able to understand their specific needs to bring their visions to life and keep Oakland unique and exciting brings great satisfaction.

In these types of transactions, obstacles will inevitably arise. My experience, tenacity, and ability to problem solve are my greatest strengths and I use them to bring both a systematic and creative mindset to move through any challenges. I surround myself with respected associates in this industry that will advocate and be a resource on my clients behalf, no matter the issue.

When not fantasizing about the latest restaurant opening or tootling around town on my bike, I spend time with my husband, two sports-loving sons and our dog, who never gets enough walks. I lend my support to worthwhile organizations that focus on the arts, children and businesses, most recently with Children's Fairyland and now with the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) and The Storefronts Initiative thru Oakland Art Murmur. Additionally, I am involved with Oakland Chamber of Commerce, East Bay CREW and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
