John Monson has nearly 18 years of sales and management experience working in the tech and commercial real estate industries. Since November 2003, John has worked as a commercial real estate broker with Commerce Real Estate Solutions, CBC Advisors and now Colliers International.
As a strategic account manager and data sales specialist in 2000, John worked for a national telecommunications company providing solutions for large and mid-sized companies. In his role as data sales specialist, his responsibilities included managing the efforts of 18 account executives and helping his team accomplish over 200 percent commercial quota achievement. John served the Salt Lake City market and was able to be nationally recognized for quota attainment and team performance competing against larger markets such as Denver, Chicago and Miami.
In February 1997, John was also employed by the largest value-added reseller in Utah, Uinta Business Systems (professional services group), where he focused on professional services in large accounts. During this time, he provided multi-vendor solutions and provided effective, scalable solutions while managing projects from planning to implementation. During his employment at Uinta Business Systems, the company had its record sales in revenue dollars. He has held leadership positions in a nonprofit organization for many years, overseeing budgets and finances as well as weekly member activities.
