About

Professional Summary

As a vice president with Colliers International in the Flagstaff office, I specialize in business and commercial property brokerage across Northern Arizona. With over 30 years of CPA experience, I serve as a strategic advisor to business sellers and buyers, guiding them through the often-complex process of completing successful business sale transactions.

I work closely with owners, buyers, attorneys, bankers, CPAs, brokers and other transaction decision makers to help consummate a wide variety of mergers and acquisitions in a number of industries. I also represent business owners, investors, landlords and tenants in the acquisition, disposition and leasing of commercial real estate.

Working closely with business owners, I develop exit strategies that allow them to move forward with their lives and/or careers after having run a successful business. I also work with buyers who are seeking to start down a new path by acquiring a new business.

Having owned and operated companies in the retail, restaurant, convenience store and hospitality industries, I understand business from the viewpoint of both the owner and entrepreneur. My operational and ownership experience allows me to advise business owners on how to maximize their company’s value.

My lifelong knowledge and experience in the Northern Arizona market have enabled me to work with and sell a wide variety of business types, including hospitality, retail, tourism, restaurants, convenience stores, construction, fueling stations and franchises.

My career began at KPMG, the largest accounting firm in the world, specializing in real estate and construction. Since then, I have helped businesses across the Southwest achieve top financial results through hands-on management. I have been instrumental in operating and selling many businesses, closing transactions in excess of $150 million.

Prior to joining Colliers, I was a senior associate with Coldwell Banker Commercial in Flagstaff, specializing in business and commercial property brokerage.

My extensive experience includes serving as vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Grand Canyon Railway and affiliated companies for 15 years. Grand Canyon Railway owned and operated a hotel, restaurant, RV park, pet resort, extensive gift shops, and a vintage steam train. At one point, operations included an airline service between Las Vegas and Williams. My background also includes serving as chief financial officer of HomCo Lumber & Hardware and Carter Oil.

As an avid outdoorsman, I enjoy skiing, fishing, hunting and spending time on a houseboat at Lake Powell with family and friends. I have been happily married for over 30 years and have five children.
