About

Professional Summary

As a senior vice president with Colliers International in Arizona, I provide environmental consulting expertise in support of land development and real estate transactions, including industrial, office, retail, multifamily, and undeveloped and agriculturally-developed land. I partner with Joe McGovern, senior vice president.

I serve as a resource for effective navigation of environmental liability and regulatory compliance issues, and the efficient completion of due diligence assessments and management of real or perceived environmental risk.

I provide a quick and consistent point of contact for environmental matters that may adversely impact transactions in terms of timing and/or short- and long-term cost and liability. Leveraging 30 years of public and private sector environmental consulting experience, I optimize research, analysis and assessment; manage expectations; and streamline regulatory interface, resulting in enhanced transactional outcomes.

My technical experience enables recognition of environmental conditions that may affect property value, exacerbate client liability, and prompt construction delays. I employ my expertise to develop cost-effective and time-sensitive response strategies.

Through my knowledge and understanding of the deal environment, I work to boost collaboration, reduce disruptions to project momentum, create efficiencies, lower costs and preserve profits.

As an Arizona-registered geologist, I have more than 30 years’ experience as a geologist and senior manager, providing technical and managerial support on a wide variety of multi-disciplinary environmental and natural resource projects.

Since 1993, I have provided environmental consulting services for land development and real estate transactions. Services include project management, regulatory liaison, Phase I and II due diligence environmental site assessments, soil and groundwater remediation, environmental building audits, and third-party oversight and review of soil, soil vapor, groundwater and surface water assessments.

My extensive background includes state government program management, in-house private-sector environmental and natural resources services, and consulting practice leadership, including principal geologist and regional division manager for Ninyo & Moore. I served as senior project manager for Burgess & Niple, Allen, Stephenson & Associates, and Huntingdon Engineering & Environmental; and senior managing consultant for Navigant Consulting.
