About

Professional Summary

As a senior vice president with Colliers International’s Technology Solutions, I can be found at the intersection of technology and commercial real estate, bridging the gap between occupiers and investors of real property and the wide world of emerging technologies.

My multi-faceted practice extends from telecom expense management for owners of traditional asset classes to data center brokerage and network procurement. I am passionate about connecting occupiers and investors with the technologies they require to run their business in the digital age.

With more than a decade in real estate and finance, my professional experience allows me to serve my clients by managing the processes whose outcomes provide the technical solutions that best assist them in achieving their business goals. We have launched the Colliers Technology Solutions website to make it even easier for our clients and colleagues to engage with all the resources Technology Solutions has to offer.

Services and expertise include:

  • Portfolio telecom expense management
  • Data center consulting and advisory
  • Network consulting and advisory
  • Data center development, site selection and acquisition
  • Financial modeling and consultation
  • Wholesale colocation
  • Valuation and disposition
  • Data center contract management
  • International data center and network transaction and advisory services

As one of the leading data center authorities in the western U.S., I stay on the leading edge of industry developments.

Prior to joining Colliers, I was the market leader for the Data Center Solutions practice with CBRE in Phoenix, where I managed a constantly evolving, forward-focused, nationally collaborative data center solutions brokerage platform. I identified sites suitable for data center redevelopment; worked with architects, engineers and contractors to estimate construction costs, and modeled the financial impact of multiple courses of action to determine TCO and cost structure of various options.

Previously, I was a private banker and lender with Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.

Testimonials

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Luke for many years and through several job changes. His professionalism, work ethic and dedication to his customers is second to none. He was instrumental in helping my team at GoDaddy locate and negotiate a very strong data center contract in Ashburn, VA. He was also able to provide valuable input into our existing data center growth and industry analytics to help with major build and technology decisions. Luke has always made himself available to me and my teams when we needed his professional expertise. Not only would I recommend his services and support to fellow data center peers, but I also continue to use his knowledge to ensure my business continues to grow and develop. Luke has been and continues to be an industry leader and expert.”—Sam Rudek, Regional Director, Data Center Field Services, Schneider Electric

“I’d like to commend Luke’s efforts and the results he helped us achieve for our data center projects. His help and experience saved me and my team time, money and numerous headaches, while ensuring each of our stakeholders had their needs met. He found the tricky balance of advocating for our best contractual interests, while maintaining the relationships that we will ultimately rely upon with our infrastructure partners.”—Jim Buck, Senior Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations, Ditech
