About

Professional Summary

Mr. Rosenberg joined the firm in 1998 when it operated as GVA Williams. A real estate industry veteran with over 40 years of experience, Mr. Rosenberg is an attorney and an expert in strategic planning and complex lease negotiations. Some of his more notable transactions include:

- The acquisition, by Baruch College, of 151 East 25th Street, a 330,000 square foot warehouse/loft building that was subsequently renovated and which is now the home of Baruch’s state-of-the-art Newman Library.

- At 225 Park Avenue South, he arranged for the leasing by Baruch College of 88,000 square feet for use as classrooms and faculty offices by suggesting a conversion of the building’s freight entrance into a new separate “building within a building” lobby for exclusive use by Baruch. Baruch subsequently expanded to more than 175,000 square feet in the building.

- Through a complex structuring of reciprocal lease assignments, he arranged an exchange of more than 200,000 square feet of office space between General Mills, Inc. and Macy’s. This transaction earned Mr. Rosenberg the “Most Ingenious Deal of the Year” Award from the Real Estate Board of New York.

- A disposition, through a controlled auction, of its 176,000 square foot headquarters in Union, NJ for Breeze-Eastern Corporation, and its relocation to a new 116,000 square foot headquarters more aligned with its current business operations.

- The acquisition and subsequent expansion of the Product Development Center for the national upscale women’s retailer, Talbots, for a total of 60,000 square feet, at 1700 Broadway, NYC and a subsequent consolidation into 50,000 square feet at 2 Park Ave, NYC; and the acquisition of 55,000 square feet for its National Data Center in Tampa, FL.
