Mary Ryan is Colliers International’s Director of Marketing & Research for the Puget Sound Region. She leads all marketing and communications initiatives in the greater Seattle and Bellevue, WA markets, working with management to position the firm and its professionals as commercial real estate experts, and create and execute brand, promotional and business development strategies that achieve both corporate goals and service business plans. Ms. Ryan also oversees Colliers' Research operation in the region, providing guidance on the collection, analysis and use of information to the benefit of both clients and firm professionals.

Ms. Ryan’s responsibilities include the support of business pursuits through presentations, proposals and innovative tools; development of new collateral, thought leadership, and content marketing; promotion of the Colliers identity; execution of internal and external communications and public relations programs; maximization of social media and digital marketing; production of accurate and timely market information and evaluation; and incorporation of innovative ideas, cutting-edge technology and best practices into the Puget Sound platform.

Accomplishments

Ms. Ryan brings a multi-disciplined perspective to commercial real estate marketing and research stemming from more than 20 years of experience as part of market-focused or Americas Region corporate marketing teams. She spent most of her career in the New York market, including a stint as a managing director on Colliers’ Tri-State Marketing & Communications team before assuming her current role in the Pacific Northwest.

Prior to joining Colliers, Ms. Ryan was Director of Content Development at DTZ, then Cushman & Wakefield following the merger of those two organizations. She played a critical role in the launch and evolution of the combined company’s new brand and messaging, authoring client and internal communications on behalf of the firm’s new leaders both prior to and following the merger. Ms. Ryan was also responsible for developing the content for much of the new Cushman & Wakefield’s corporate and service line collateral, including the global company brochure, and was a critical element in the development and population of content for several new technology tools, including its best-in-class library and broker playbook. She was an invaluable editorial resource in the production of numerous Cushman & Wakefield research publications.

Ms. Ryan began her real estate career in corporate communications and marketing at the Edward S. Gordon Company. She later led Marketing for Insignia/ESG/CBRE’s Westchester County, NY/Fairfield County, CT office and Grubb & Ellis’ New York City operation, and was part of New York marketing and business development teams at JLL and Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.

Ms. Ryan is a Northwest Region Ambassador for Colliers' Center of Excellence and a member of the firm's U.S. Editorial Board. She was nominated for the Colliers U.S. Service Excellence Award in 2019. 

Education:

Ms. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Science in Secondary Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
