Tenant/Landlord representation in the East Bay Metro Area in the Office Market is my focus. Prior to working at Colliers, I worked in B2C at LendingClub selling personal unsecured loans.
Born and raised in Walnut Creek, I know the lay of the land in the greater East Bay. With this knowledge of the market, I focus on finding what fits my client’s needs, while providing world class customer service.
I majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance at San Diego State University. During my time in college I joined the Real Estate Society, and from that experience I knew that I wanted to become a broker. During my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors, in particular mountain biking, skiing, and hiking.

Area of Expertise: Matthew specializes in Tenant/Landlord representation of sales and leases in the San Francisco Bay Area with a focus on the East Bay Oakland Metro Area.
Matthew was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, which gives him extensive knowledge and a large network of contacts in the area. Given his extensive work with both Landlords and Tenants he truly has the upper hand to better serve both Tenants and Landlords. Tenants are better served by a consultant/partner who has in depth firsthand knowledge of how Landlords operate and Landlords benefit from a consultant/partner with in depth knowledge of what is important to Tenants.
He joined Colliers International's Oakland office in 2015 bringing with him a 10 year proven track record in developing and closing business deals.
Previously, Matthew served as a Director and led the Tenant Representation Practice Group at Equistone Partners representing tenants in the negotiation of leases, subleases, lease restructures and building sales/purchases.
Prior to real estate, Matt procured new leads for the business development team at BCCI Construction Company, a San Francisco company focused on tenant improvements and building and restoration of historical interiors.

My 26-year brokerage career specializes in the acquisition/disposition, leasing, and development of commercial real estate in the Bay Area. I have had the opportunity to represent many of the most notable and successful corporations in the Bay Area, including Kaiser Permanente, Chevron, Ask.com, Morgan Stanley, Washington Mutual Bank, Dreyer’s Ice Cream, Pandora Media, Zhone Technologies, and Lawrence Berkeley National Labs.
A large part of my professional career has been in the medical industry where I have represented several medical users, developers and owners of medical offices and clinics throughout the Bay Area and Northern California. I am currently a Fellow representing Colliers in Northern California for Colliers’ national healthcare team.
This is a dynamic time to work in the Oakland market as the area reinvigorates itself and grows to an entirely new potential. It has been an honor to list many of Oakland’s iconic office towers, such as the Orway, Lake Merritt Towers, 180 Grand Avenue and 1333 Broadway, 1111 Broadway, 555 12th Street as well as EmeryStation in Emeryville and Berkeley Tower in Berkeley.
My intention is always to exceed my clients’ highest expectation for success and service. I take special pride managing difficult, complicated real estate challenges, and I often work as point person on multi-market projects with colleagues in other regions. The relationships I have made with clients and colleagues alike are deeply important to me, and I am always happy to share my perspective on the market with potential clients.
Prior to joining Colliers International in 2015, I worked in brokerage for JLL, CBRE where I started my professional brokerage career.
