Professional Summary

Prior to joining Colliers International on  Long Island as an  Administrative Assistant/Receptionist, I have had  the opportunity to work in a  number of professional settings. Most recently, for the past 5 years, I was an  Administrative Assistant and Teacher's Aide for John Lewis Childs Elementary School in Floral Park, NY.  

Upon graduating from college, I worked in both publishing and advertising . First as a Sales Assistant, then Sales Representative, at Fairchild Publications, selling ads and managing a client base for major fashion trade publications such as Womens Wear Daily, Daily News Record and Salon News. 

From there I decided to join the agency side of the business and worked for two (2) advertising agencies, Austin Knight and Bernard Hodes. As an Account Manager/Executive in Client Services, I provided both strategic and tactical direction to help clients achieve recruitment satisfaction and retention and  developed, presented and implemented national recruitment advertising campaigns for clients such as American Express, KPMG,  and GE.

In the years in between, while at home raising my family, I considered myself a "Professional Volunteer" involving myself in community service clubs and organizations such as the PTA/PTSA,  General Federated Women's Club of America, American Cancer Society's Relay For Life  and Pantene Beautiful Lengths.




My years volunteering and fundraising, whether its helping our communities or raising funds for various charities is an important part of my life.  I have been honored with such awards as  the PTA  ADVOCATE IN ACTION AWARD, General Federated Women's Club of America Honor Roll for Volunteerism and General Federated Women's Club of America Order of the Rose for Volunteerism.

I am also proud of my involvement in  American Cancer Society's Relay For Life Events as an Event Coordinator, Team Captain and Committee Chair recruiting members, planning events, setting fundraising goals, and organizing fundraising activities for five (5)  annual Queens and Long Island events.

For the past 7 years I have co-hosted a Pantene Beautiful Lengths Hair Event  with a local salon. These events enable people to donate 8" of their hair to make real hair wigs for women going through cancer treatment. As the event coordinator, I create advertisements and write editorials for local papers to promote the event and bring in donors.  Over the years, through our events, we have been able to donate over 500 ponies to the cause.




I graduated from the State University of New York at Oneonta, with a  B.S. in Advertising and Communication, with a Minor in Business and The  Fashion Institute of Technology with an A.A.S. in Advertising and Communication. My major coursework included  Advertising, Media Planning and Magazine Journalism, Marketing Management, Advertising and Promotion.

Memberships & Involvements

My community service memberships/positions include: PTSA (High School) Vice President, GFWC/Junior Women's Club of Bellerose President, GFWC New York State Junior Board  Secretary, PTA (Elementary School) Vice President, 2nd Vice President and Recording Secretary, and Junior Women's Club of Bellerose Vice President and Recording Secretary. I have also chaired many committees over the years such as our local food drives,  holiday fairs, and book sales.

Many of these positions have afforded me the opportunity  to give back to my communities and well as people in need around the world    by organizing  national fundraising events on a local level.   I have taken part in planning  and coordinating fundraisers and service events that result in raising over $12,000+ yearly in donations to over 60 charitable organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity, Heifer International, Women for Women,  Unicef, March Of Dimes, St. Judes, Wounded Warriors and hurricane/disaster relief , to name a few, as well as  educational scholarships and social programs for our students.
