About
Professional Summary
After thoroughly exploring the financial services and commodities trading industries via six separate internships during my time at Boston College, I decided that I would ultimately want to go in a different direction and pursue my true passion in commercial real estate. As a result, once I retired from the NFL after a five-year playing career, I decided to move to San Diego and quickly commenced my real estate job hunt by going door to door of several brokerage companies. I guess my tenacity and competitive spirit was evident because one firm hired me relatively quickly and since that moment I have never looked back. I joined Colliers International in 2014 as an executive vice president, partner, and co-head of the Investment Sales team, and we quickly assembled a high energy, motivated group with which it is an absolute joy and privilege to work day in and day out.
From a very young age, I was always drawn to team sports and thrived on competition. Working on the capital markets side of the real estate industry allows me to channel this passion into a fulfilling career. It is a team game and one that holds each individual accountable for his/her time and efforts. We want our clients to know after every transaction that they received the maximum effort and optimal results.
Outside of the office, I proudly serve on a committee for Boston-based, Team Impact, an amazing organization that focuses on pairing ill children with college sports teams, where they can forget about their extensive treatments and hospital visits and simply be a part of a team. I also greatly enjoy playing and watching any sports with my three young children.

Doug Jacoby
Executive Vice President
Boston
As executive vice president, partner, and co-head of the Investment Sales team at Colliers International Boston, I relish the opportunity to provide professional advice and services to my clients, along with enjoying the daily interaction and camaraderie I share with my teammates, colleagues and clients. My current position affords me the opportunity to counsel clients by evaluating their unique challenges, preparing the appropriate action plans, and then providing a holistic strategy to enable their success.
I joined Colliers International in 2014 but have been in the commercial real estate industry for over 26 years, earning the following industry designations: Appraisal Institute, Member (MAI); Counselor of Real Estate, Member (CRE); and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). My knowledge of the commercial real estate investment market, in combination with my ardent desire to constantly improve my skills and knowledge, has allowed me and my team to become a top tier investment sales group in the United States. We consistently rank among the strongest performers, both locally and nationally, in our competitive peer group.

As vice president on the Investment Sales team at Colliers International Boston, I most enjoy serving as a trusted advisor to clients to help them optimize the value of their real estate holdings. My current position affords me the opportunity to provide deep qualitative and quantitative advice that encompasses the “art” and “science” of successful real estate investment. With degrees from Middlebury College and Georgetown University, I recognize the value of education but also the need to continually evolve and grow my knowledge base to better serve my clients as they navigate the real estate market.
I joined Colliers International in 2012 but started in the commercial real estate industry six years prior to that, working in development, fund management and credit investments, which has provided a breadth of experience I draw on to advise our clients. I value working with our team daily and firmly believe we have a great dynamic that offers a full range of skill-sets for our clients’ benefit. We consistently rank among the strongest performers, both locally and nationally, in our competitive peer group and look to continue to grow and evolve.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children and on the golf course as much as possible.

With several role models in my life who either formerly worked or currently work in the commercial real estate industry, I have always been drawn to the business and enthusiastically joined Colliers in 2012 when the opportunity presented itself. Fresh out of the College of the Holy Cross, I eagerly entered into a sales position at Office Resources Inc. It was during that time while selling commercial furniture where I began to develop my professional sales skills.
After two years, I was searching for a role in the commercial real estate brokerage industry, and was laser focused on the Capital Markets side of the business. I had always been a “numbers” person and specifically took a keen interest in the subject matter because I enjoyed learning how various economic factors impacted one another, something that was directly relevant to my Economics-focused background at Holy Cross. As a member of the Investment Sales team, it is our job to understand the value of a specific asset, and a critical part of that is understanding how it fits into the overall macroeconomic picture.
I enjoy working with a very goal-oriented team and strive to do my part to turn those “big picture” goals into realities. I like to strategize on the necessary steps to get from point A to point B, and then work to successfully perform each one alongside my colleagues. This is extremely relevant in many aspects of the business: for wining a big pitch, consecrating a successful marketing process, or cultivating a valuable client relationship. It has been a pleasure to work with and continue building relationships with our clients, which include a wide array of Fortune 500 companies, REITS, national developers, high net worth family businesses, local owners and operators, and more. Through interaction with each of our clients, I continue to gain new perspectives on real estate, which has proven incredibly rewarding in my job.
In additional to my real estate profession, I serve as co-chair of the United Way’s Community Builders committee. This committee focuses on several fundraising efforts to help local communities with varied projects. Outside of the office (and sometimes mixed with work) I enjoy golf, skiing, and just about any other athletic and/or outdoor activity.

Since the beginning of my career at Colliers International Boston, I have gained exposure to many different markets and service lines, arming me with a strong and diverse real estate foundation.
Upon first joining Colliers, I worked in a suburban office and industrial leasing brokerage role, which gave me the opportunity to understand landlord and tenant supply and demand at a grass roots level. In 2016, I transitioned from the leasing arena to investment sales, which has enhanced my understanding of real estate as an investment vehicle and given me new and interesting opportunities to service the unique needs of our clients. I have an incredible amount of respect and appreciation for my supportive team who continually mentor, motivate and encourage me as I grow within my role.
I joined the real estate industry immediately following graduation from Bates College where I was a member of the Men’s Lacrosse team for four years. Growing up a modest athlete, the competitive nature of the commercial real estate business is what initially drove me to pursue a career in the industry, and further, is what has inspired me to provide the highest level of service to our clients.
Outside of the office I enjoy participating in various activities such as golf, squash, boating, and skiing.

Senior Client Services Specialist
Boston
After majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Sports Marketing from Curry College, I never anticipated that my career path would lead me to commercial real estate. However, I can enthusiastically say that I am glad the opportunity presented itself back in 2012. My position has allowed me to hone my skills and interests in a role that offers enough challenges to keep me learning and unwavering team support to keep me motivated.
I joined Colliers International in 2014 and am currently the senior client services coordinator for the Investment Sales team. I tend to think of myself as the Oz behind the curtain, providing my entire team with superior marketing and administrative tools and support that ultimately enable them to best represent our clients. Whether coordinating marketing collateral or implementing sale processes for existing product, preparing opinions of value, or developing new business presentations, I enjoy daily opportunities to broaden my horizons and learn new skills.
Outside of the office and beyond commercial real estate, I enjoy reading a good book, relaxing on the beach, working out, and spending quality time with family and friends.
