Shirly’s career at Colliers started as an Accounting Assistant in 2010. As a Senior Accountant, she is responsible for general ledger entries, month end financial statements, variance analysis, operating expenses and real estate tax reconciliations and updating and maintaining various functions of lease administration. In addition, she is involved in the preparation of annual budgets, as well as daily interaction with Property Managers, banks and clients. Her experience incorporates retail, office and industrial properties comprised of both private and institutional ownerships.
Her portfolio has included properties which involve multiple building centers that require CAM reconciliations for each building along with easements that require separate accounting for expenses that are split between various entities.

As Regional Controller, Kimberlee is responsible for the performance of Colliers Western Region national accounting hubs, located in Walnut Creek and Sacramento. The accounting teams that she oversees offer full accounting services including accounts payable, accounts receivable, lease administration and financial statement reporting and analysis for a portfolio that mainly covers the Western Region of the U.S. The Accounting team partners with the Property Managers to service various property types including retail, office, industrial, mixed-use and residential assets.

Development and management of property-specific operating systems & customizations
Review of financial reporting, budgets and CAMs

Assistant Regional Controller
As Accounting Manager for Colliers International Property Management, I work under the direction of Kimberlee Destro, Director of Property Accounting in the Walnut Creek Office. I am responsible for some of our most complex institutional accounting assignments including several large industrial, retail and office properties. I am fully conversant with MRI and Yardi accounting platforms.
In addition to my client account responsibilities, I oversee our Account Payables department. I work closely with our Accounting Manager to provide support to the accounting department and assist with the implementation of new procedures and special projects. I joined Colliers International in 2005 with over 15 years of accounting experience. Prior to joining Colliers, I was the Office Manager/Accountant for a home health agency where I was responsible for all of the financial aspects of the business.
As Senior Property Accountant for Colliers International Property Management, I work under the direction of Kimberlee Destro, Regional Controller, in the Walnut Creek Office. I bring over 17 years of property accounting experience to the team and I am conversant with CTI, MRI, and Yardi accounting platforms.
Prior to joining Colliers in 2011, I worked as a senior property accountant with Prologis overseeing the accuracy and maintenance of all financial reporting related to over 50 commercial real estate properties in Northern California, totaling over 12 million square feet as well as effectively managing a staff of AR and AP teams. Prior to Prologis, I worked as a property accountant at Tishman Speyer for two specific Class A commercial properties in the Financial District of San Francisco. Through dedication, a strong work ethic, and an eye for detail, I have been a strong asset to my employers and colleagues.
