Former Georgia quarterback and SEC record-holder Aaron Murray is getting into real estate.

Murray will join commercial real estate services company Colliers International in Atlanta.

He’ll market multifamily real estate for its East Coast division and focus on business development.

Murray believes his background as a quarterback prepared him for real estate.

"You see right away how competitive this industry is, especially in Atlanta," he told Atlanta Business Chronicle. "And I want to compete. I know I'm going to have to work by butt off."

Murray was also drawn to the team and culture at Colliers, where Atlanta CEO Bob Mathews is known for developing a collegiate atmosphere.

"I like being part of a team, but this also feels a lot like a family," he said.

Murray will also remain in the broadcast booth during the college football season, working as a color analyst for CBS Sports Network, as media outlets reported earlier this summer.

Murray is one of the University of Georgia’s most decorated quarterbacks. A four-year starter from 2010 through 2013, he is the Southeastern Conference all-time leader in passing touchdowns, completions, passing yards and total yards.

Murray went on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.
