Staples looks to spin off 1,500 retail stores to longtime rival Office Depot

Staples Inc. is considering a spin off its 1,500 retail stores to longtime rival Office Depot. Unnamed sources told the New York Post that the Massachusetts-based retailer is looking to get rid of its brick-and-mortar stores and concentrate solely on selling office supplies to mid-size and big corporate clients online.

 


Developers team for 300-unit proposal in Eastie
Boston Herald — July 31, 2017

Boston and New York developers are joining forces on plans for approximately 300 apartments near Orient Heights in East Boston.Hub-based Gate Residential Properties LLC and Bulgroup Colorado LLC want to construct the residential development on nearly 3.3 acres at 175 McClellan Highway (Route 1A). The development would include two or more buildings, parking and about 2,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

 


Baker OKs tweak of shadow laws to allow for Winthrop Square tower
