Office Envy: Inside the Newly-Inaugurated Office of Mimecast in Lexington

Public company Mimecast recently moved its North American headquarters from Watertown to Lexington, Mass. The extra space enables the company to expand the perks offered to the current 360 Massachusetts-based employees, including an open work environment, free lunch four days a week, covered parking, a gym and a 1,600-foot roof deck.

 


What’s next for Don Chiofaro's $1B Harbor Garage tower?

In 2009, Chiofaro Co. formally notified the city of Boston of its plan to develop 1.5 million square feet across two towers at the Harbor Garage site. But the Harbor Garage project had a string of setbacks. The Business Journal in 2010 described the situation as “a drawn-out and extremely well-publicized feud with Boston officials."

 


Building Within a Building: 110 High Street and 50 Post Office Square

LaSalle Investment Management, the owner of 50 Post Office Square in Boston, has unveiled some additional information on the next phases of the project. The new entrance to the first six floors on 110 High Street will have a state of the art, first-of-its-kind indoor outdoor customizable media screen.

Mayor Walsh Announces $15 Million in New Funding for Affordable Housing Construction in Boston

Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh announced that the Department of Neighborhood Development (DND) and the Neighborhood Housing Trust (NHT) Fund have awarded more than $15 million in funds to seven rental projects across Boston.

Rite Aid already agreed to sell about 2,000 stores to Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc.

 


Bowdoin Completes Multi-Phased Expansion and Renovation for Reiser
Boston Real Estate Times — February 22, 2018
Bowdoin Construction recently completed a multi-phased expansion and renovation for Reiser, designed by Roth & Seelen. The initial phase consisted of the fit-out of 22,000 square feet of offices and staff lounge space. The subsequent phase included a 46,000 square feet of warehouse addition with an active rack system, and a new temperature controlled commercial showroom for food preparation.
