Workplace transformation strategist, change leader and community-builder Kate North was honored for her contributions to the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and to the facility management profession with a Chair Citation presented by 2017-2018 chair of IFMA’s board of directors William M. O'Neill, CFM.
The presentation of the citation was part of IFMA’s annual Awards of Excellence banquet, held Friday, Oct. 20, in Houston during IFMA’s World Workplace 2017 Conference and Expo.
“As global chair of IFMA’s Workplace Evolutionaries (WE) Community, Kate North has led a group of forward-thinking workplace strategists to accelerate research, knowledge and innovation around the emerging workplace,” said William M. O'Neill, CFM, Chair of IFMA’s Board of Directors. “Kate and the WE Community know the workplace is changing; but instead of watching it unfold, they’re making it happen.”
Chair Citations honor the behind-the-scenes leadership, hard work, selfless actions and exceptional accomplishments of those who help drive IFMA’s success.
“Kate believes that exploring and embracing inventive strategies to support higher levels of engagement, productivity and well-being is vital to an effective work environment. And she’s made us believe it, too,” said O’Neill. “She’s introduced FM professionals to pioneering workplace strategies, encouraging us to become leaders in transforming the spaces we support.”
