Colliers International’s Ryan McCue represents buyer in off-market timberland sale of 324 acres in Eastover, SC

McCue specializes in recreational land and timberland sales and continues to grow this specialty at Colliers International | South Carolina.

Columbia, SC – Ryan McCue represented the buyer in the purchase of a 324-acre timberland tract in Eastover, SC from Noe Hunting & Timber LLC.

“Timing with this transaction was everything,” said Ryan McCue, a Brokerage Associate with Colliers International | South Carolina. “Oftentimes rural land tracts check multiple boxes by offering owners recreational uses and an investment opportunity. By understanding the investment side of this tract in Eastover, we knew that it was the perfect time to make an offer to acquire this off-market parcel.

The timber had recently been clear cut, and we recognized that the current owner was facing an immediate capital expenditure if he was to replant.”
Colliers | South Carolina is pleased to represent clients in timberland transactions. Timber is the state’s leading cash crop, with an economic impact of $21 billion and a delivered value of more than $783 million annually, according to the Forestry Association of South Carolina.

“I was thrilled to work on this purchase. Working under the Colliers brand gives me an edge in timberland sales, such as a cutting-edge marketing platform, inside knowledge of the market and collaboration between Colliers offices statewide and beyond,” continues McCue.

McCue was brought onto the Colliers | South Carolina brokerage team in 2018 to begin offering a new service to clients for recreational land and timberland real estate services. McCue works with various groups of clients, from investors seeking timber acreage to enthusiasts looking for recreational land for hunting and other outdoor activities. As an avid outdoorsman, his passion for and knowledge of outdoor recreation makes him an invaluable resource.
