Popular retail corridor attracts bakery’s first location in Columbia.

Columbia, SC – Colliers International’s Danny Bonds and Taylor Wolfe represented Biltmore Property Group in the lease of retail space at 131 Harbison Boulevard to the baking company Nothing Bundt Cakes. The location within the primary Harbison retail corridor proved just the fit for Nothing Bundt Cakes.

“We enjoyed working with Nothing Bundt Cakes and their team to help secure their first location in the Columbia market,” said Taylor Wolfe, Brokerage Associate. “The concept has been a success across other markets and we were honored to be the ones to help them expand their footprint into Columbia.”

Nothing Bundt Cakes is a bakery that provides its customers with hand-decorated cakes adorned with inspired decorations and signature frosting to help celebrate life’s special moments. Once a simple side project started by two friends, Nothing Bundt Cakes has grown into a nationally recognized franchise that strives to provide delicious cakes that are readily available and do not compromise on their ingredients.

Biltmore Property Group and its affiliates develop, own and operate community-oriented shopping centers and mixed-use projects. Headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina, Biltmore Property Group currently operates eighteen properties in five southeastern states, focusing on well-established retail areas. Its beginnings date back to 1929, with the opening of Bell’s General Store in Asheville. Today, BPG is Jos. A. Bank’s largest franchisee, a Lilly Pulitzer licensee and a Ruth’s Chris Steak House franchisee. BPG’s extensive retailing background enables it to anticipate and fulfill the needs of its retail tenants.

Bonds and Wolfe, both Brokerage Associates and members of the Colliers retail brokerage team, focus on the sale and leasing of commercial retail properties.
