Spartanburg, SC – Colliers International’s Richard Barrett, MCR and Brannan Hudson represented Rudolph Logistics Group, N.A. in the lease of a 171,600-square-foot industrial warehouse at 2988 Green Road, Greer, SC, in Caliber North Business Park. This will be the first U.S. location for Rudolph Logistics Group, an international logistics service provider headquartered in Baunatal, Germany.

“When working with a company of Rudolph’s size and extensive global platform, it is important to learn their business model to accommodate all unique requirements,” said Barrett, a Brokerage Associate. “We had to think creatively to find just the right space for Rudolph’s first U.S. location. After months of searching the market, we identified this newly constructed building developed by Liberty Property Trust that was the perfect match.”

LCK, a project management firm and partner of Colliers International | South Carolina, assisted with the transaction. Barrett and Hudson coordinated with the LCK team to look beyond the physical building and to see the potential for the location in the existing market. LCK’s commitment and involvement throughout the project provided a high level of comfort for Rudolph and allowed them to make a decisive and quick final selection.

Rudolph’s commitment to South Carolina for its first U.S. operation will bring more than $18 million of capital investment to the county and create 150 new jobs in the Upstate. This project is a great example of how market research can make a difference, not only by expanding one business into the U.S. market, but also creating growth for the South Carolina economy.

“Being in South Carolina with this new logistics center offers great opportunities for us and for the customers we serve. We can’t think of a better start for this exciting new project,” said Dr. Torsten Rudolph, Managing Partner.

Richard Barrett, MCR and Brannan Hudson are both members of the Colliers flex and industrial brokerage team, specializing in landlord and tenant representation throughout the Upstate of South Carolina.
