Significant SIOR designation awarded to highly-qualified commercial real estate practitioners.

Spartanburg, SC – Vice President of Colliers International and industrial brokerage specialist, Garrett Scott, has been awarded the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® (SIOR) designation. Scott has been instrumental in establishing Colliers International’s physical presence in downtown Spartanburg.

The SIOR designation is awarded to real estate professionals in recognition of their knowledge, experience and proven successes in the markets they serve. To receive the designation, professionals must meet specific requirements, including recognition by developers, lenders and investors; high-level production, closing on average more than 30 transactions a year; and meeting SIOR’s production, education and ethical requirements. It is a signifier of high-quality service and expertise in the commercial real estate industry.

Scott is a Vice President with Colliers | South Carolina in the Greenville-Spartanburg office. He specializes in leasing, sales and development advisory services for industrial properties across the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson market, also known as the Upstate. In 2017 alone, he received the Colliers | South Carolina Walter M. Keenan Award and Transaction of the Year Award and was named to Colliers | USA’s Everest Club as part of the top ten percent of all Colliers professionals based on revenue production. He has consistently been named a CoStar Power Broker and a Top Producer for Colliers | South Carolina every year since joining the enterprise in 2015.

Scott is a recognized expert in industrial brokerage in the Upstate, with over 27 years of experience leading an industrial development firm and handling the planning, acquisitions and implementation of more than 20 industrial parks across the Southeast. Over 130 clients have relied on him to manage the start-up and implementation of their facilities, and his portfolio of work includes over 20 million square feet of vertical development of Class A industrial space, including manufacturing, warehouse, fulfillment and e-commerce-related build-to-suit facilities.

A passionate member of the Spartanburg community, Scott, in collaboration with John Montgomery and Brockton Hall, has been instrumental in establishing Colliers’ physical presence in the Spartanburg market. He also holds several board-level positions with The Humanities Council SC, The Piedmont Club in Spartanburg and Clemson University Board of Visitors.
