Two Arlington church properties are slated for a $16.5 million conversion for grades 3-8 and a high school for Global Outreach Charter Academy Inc.
Global Outreach Charter Academy Inc. plans to open a high school next year at the former Calvary Hill Baptist Church property in Arlington.
Global Outreach, through Regency Charter Property LLC, bought the property at 1211 Lee Road from Calvary Hill Baptist Church Inc. on Sept. 13 for $450,000.
The 5-acre site includesa two-story, 29,127-square-foot building built in 1974. The church acquired the property in 1994.
On the same day it bought the Calvary Hill property, Regency Charter Property LLC also bought the Impact Church of Jacksonville Inc. property at 8985 Lone Star Road for $6.1 million.

The Impact Church property comprises 15.8 acres with a 63,463-square-foot, two-story building constructed in 2001. It is adjacent to Arlingwood Park.
Global Outreach operates a K-8 charter school split among two campuses: The Cub Campus, grades K-2, at 8711 Lone Star Road, west of Mill Creek Road, and the Grizzly Campus, grades 3-8 at 9570 Regency Square Blvd., near Regency Square Mall.
