Manchester, NH –Colliers International, a global leader in commercial real estate services, brought home four Deal of the Year awards at the third annual New Hampshire Commercial Investment Board of Realtors (NHCIBOR) awards ceremony. Doug Martin and Bob Rohrer won Top Medical and Top Office Deals of the Year. Rohrer also won Top Industrial Deal of the Year and David Choate won Top Development Deal of the Year.

NHCIBOR also announced the dedication of its Legacy Award to Jim DeStefano and Neal Barrett in honor of their service to the commercial real estate industry. DeStefano and Barrett were part of the Colliers family for many years and passed suddenly in the fall of last year. The winner of this prestigious award is Mike Reed of Stebbins Commercial Properties, who is a founding member of NHCIBOR and the spirt of NHCIBOR Cares, which is the 501c3 charitable arm of NHCIBOR.

Martin and Rohrer’s Medical Deal of the Year recognized the long-term leases at 160 South River Road in Bedford, to Catholic Medical Center, which leased 10,925± SF, and Derry Medical Center, with 18,000± SF. The building’s vacancy rate for several years was close to 85%. Rohrer and Martin were able to find premium medical tenants to lease the majority of the building, turning “The 160 Building at Bedford Crossing” into a premier medical office center. They were able to communicate the Owner’s vision for repositioning and upgrading the building, while emphasizing its superior location as primary selling points to both tenants. The building is now 100% occupied and has been repositioned in the market as a medical office building.

Martin and Rohrer also won Office Deal of the Year with the long-term lease of 17,173± SF of second floor space at 25 Constitution Drive, Bedford, to Sunrise Labs. According to the President and CEO of Sunrise Labs, Eric Soederberg, "This move represents a significant milestone for Sunrise Labs, adding 50% more office, collaboration, and lab space to support our growing team, while updating our environment to better reflect our innovative and high-quality culture. This investment in our future underscores our commitment to provide clients' with the best product development services in the medical industry. I appreciate the outstanding work that Martin and Rohrer did to find Sunrise a new home."
Additionally, Rohrer won the Industrial Deal of the Year with the sale of 20 Executive Drive in Hudson, which is a 75,288± SF manufacturing building on 7.31± acres. The property sold for $3,999,999 to INNOVATIVE Products & Equipment, Inc. INNOVATIVE relocated to NH from MA to support its continued growth. The company brought 40+ jobs to Hudson, with plans to expand in the coming years. Colliers assisted INNOVATIVE in its partnering with the NH Business Finance Authority to secure part of the financing for its acquisition and growth via its Tax-Exempt Industrial Development Bond Program.

Choate’s Development Deal of the Year highlighted the sale of 181 Silver Street in Dover, for $3,175,000. Formerly the McIntosh College, this 19.46± acre site is set to be a vibrant 196,000± mixed-use development called Silver Square. The project will include office, retail and restaurants, financial institutions, an assisted living residence, and a full-service hotel. With its seamless integration of commercial, residential, and hospitality sectors, Silver Square is set to be one of NH’s only full-scale mixed-use communities.
