Plantation, FL | October 25, 2017 – The Colliers International South Florida team of Alfie Hamilton, Caitlin Inklebarger and Jarred Goodstein has represented owner TA Realty in a 89,143 square foot office lease at the 1801 Building in Plantation. The new lease with Envision Physician Services, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Envision Healthcare Corporation, brings the building to 100% leased.
Colliers has leased and managed the building, located at 1801 NW 66th Avenue, since 2007 and lead the effort to reposition the asset when the previous long-term tenants vacated the building. The Colliers team, in conjunction with ownership, renovated the building to modernize the common and create a more efficient floorplan to appeal to large corporate users that had recently been active in the market.
“As the tenant needs evolve, owners and properties must be willing to change to meet those needs,” said Colliers Executive Vice President Alfie Hamilton. “In this case, TA Realty embraced our proactive approach to renovate the building to appeal to today’s large-block tenants and it resulted in successful long-term occupancy.”
Built in 1983, the two-story building underwent a series of modernization projects. In 2017, the Colliers team completed lobby, common area, elevator and parking lot modifications to better meet the requirements of large-block users.
Located minutes from the Florida Turnpike and I-595 and centrally located between I-95 and the Sawgrass Expressway, the building provides close proximity to the other Envision locations in South Florida. The new tenant was represented locally by Alex Brown of Cresa South Florida and plans to take occupancy in summer 2018.
