August 28, 2017 - Closing last week on a 10,970 square foot building at 320 Southgate Court, ROOTS Music & Dance Academy will soon teach performing arts from its new home in Cool Springs.

Kyle Chowning, CEO of ROOTS, said, "The acquisition of 320 Southgate allows us to expand our capacity by nearly 50%. We couldn't be more excited to move in and see our business realize its full potential for the long-term." The $2.65 million purchase is ROOTS Academy's first owned real estate. ROOTS currently teaches students of all ages from two leased Franklin locations, in addition to offering online courses. In 2016, Williamson Parent magazine recognized ROOTS as a top studio for music and dance instruction.

Represented by Chad Poff of Colliers International's Nashville office, seller Streamsound Records operated a recording studio from the address for several years. Poff notes that this transaction is a "textbook example" of the benefits of owner-occupied real estate in the Franklin/Cool Springs market. "Streamsound chose to buy a building rather than lease and realized a nice profit. I have no doubt that Nashville and surrounding areas will continue to prove favorable to owner-occupiers."

Tom Lochbihler of the Loch Company represented ROOTS Academy in this transaction.
