Colliers International Adds Reid Longley to NYC Leasing Practice as Executive Managing Director

New York, NY, April 24, 2018 – Leading global commercial real estate services firm Colliers International Group Inc. announces that Reid Longley has joined the company as Executive Managing Director. Longley will be based in Colliers’ New York City office and will be responsible for representing tenants and landlords across the spectrum of real estate transactions.

Longley, 30, joins Colliers from Jones Lang LaSalle where he was a Senior Vice President in the company’s New York office. At Colliers, Longley will bring several years of expertise in developing occupancy scenarios, defining space needs, evaluating strategic options and negotiating leases on behalf of a variety of tenants.

During his tenure with JLL, Longley specialized in transaction structuring for relocations, renewals, expansions, extensions and dispositions. Over the course of his career, he has completed more than 900,000 square feet of transactions while representing world-class clients such as Apple, Twitter, Yahoo!, Tiger Management, Glencore and more.

In 2017, Longley was named to Commercial Observer’s prestigious list “30 Under 30: The Best and Brightest in NYC Real Estate,” an honor that recognizes the finest industry talent in New York City. Before joining JLL, Longley began his career working in finance, as an analyst in the Corporate Real Estate group at Credit Suisse.

The appointment of Longley comes after several other notable hires by Colliers to strengthen its U.S. leadership team, including David Amsterdam as President - Investments, Leasing and Eastern Region and Gil Borok as Chief Operating Officer, USA.

“Reid has proven himself to be a force in the New York City real estate market,” said Amsterdam. “He has represented and remains a trusted advisor to some of the most well-known corporate users across multiple industries and we look forward to bringing his talent, stellar reputation and drive to Colliers.”

Longley earned a bachelor of arts degree in history from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and is a graduate of the Taft School in Watertown, CT.
